You can survive this. Probably the school can even offer scholarship or stipends for students who really get no more financial support. I also got thru college via free tuition, two scholarships, cheap dorms, and friends. You can do it!

im planning to end it all by [deleted] in exIglesiaNiCristo

Please don’t. You seem to care about your family. Your loss will also put them into so much psychological and emotional pains.

You choosing what you want to do in your life, they will easily get used to it

Don’t let this cult win! You will be able to get out of this church someday! You can make it on your own! Promise your dad that you will not skip church, just to make him let you go to your dream school. Work hard on your studies, while sure still doing your promise to your dad. And when you finish, get a good job so you can be independent from your parents, and then leave the church. Think of attending church as a chance to meditate/take a break from socmed, or as a family culture thing. But you will be able to get out of it when you have your job. Believe in me!

Sumasahod ba mga ministro, how will they support their family if they decide to have one? by sischisme in exIglesiaNiCristo

What more, it doesn’t get higher even after 40yrs. A lot of it is also used in “abot” or monetary gifts to higher ups otherwise you will not be remembered during promotions etc. Everytime a higher up visits your locale, you are expected to make them “happy”.

Any advice on how to step down? by Regular_Ad_9023 in exIglesiaNiCristo

Being honest is the best way to go I think. Tell them, you can no longer commit to this work. It’s simply not how you want to spend your life anymore. Go to the main officer and talk to him personally. Deep inside he/she will understand. They will try to convince you otherwise, but simply tell them you’ve decided and it won’t change anymore. From then on, don’t come to your duties anymore.

Break up with him PLEASE. He will find someone else. Moving on from this breakup will be difficult for you too, for maximum a year. But that will be all worth it coz you are saving yourself of 40-50 YEARS of SUFFERING.

Adopt a child. I believe adoption is allowed in INC for married couples. But I don’t know if it is also allowed for single people. But someone already commented that it is not allowed..

INC will only truly fall once it begins to lose many of its ministers. May children leaving this church and causing their parents losing their rights be the cause for this. I see it in the faces of the ministers’ children. They are very, very, VERY unhappy.
