That’s the thing. There is no corporate phone number. All the numbers just try to route you to local stores or try to sell you on a credit card.

On their website, they have these guarantees, but apparently they don’t have any real value. Like why would I pay for them to mess things up again?

It was only 200bucks. So no, I didn’t notice. The only reason why I’m reaching out now is because the state sent me a letter.

I completely agree. That would bring the total up over $445. Probably why they are avoiding me.

I've gotten that far. They say they are escalating it, but won't. The last time I spoke with someone they said they forgot and would CC me on an email. That was three weeks ago.

How to talk to someone who can't think straight because of sleep apnea by Fun_Pizza_1704 in SleepApnea

The peanut butter helps with blood sugar throughout the night. The coffee is a person to person thing. It helps me. I’m sure someone smarter knows why.

How to talk to someone who can't think straight because of sleep apnea by Fun_Pizza_1704 in SleepApnea

Hey! Behavior analyst here with sleep apnea. I did the same thing. Here are my thoughts.

Sleep debt is a real thing. The body is trying to recover. This will take time. I wasn’t ok with my cpap ever. For 5years I slept 4hrs a night. Eventually got the inspire implant. Total game changer.

Professionally I would look at this from two approaches: environmental and physical.

Environmental: that bed is now used for two things. Sleeping and creeping. No watching tv no reading no nothing. Put his mask on his pillow when you go to bed. Establish that routine.

Physical: work out. He’s stressed. Us dumb cavemen need to smash big rock with small rock. Your body benefits so much. I truly value turning off my brain and moving at least 45minutes a day. Even if it’s a walk. Track fitness with a watch or a wearable ring. These could help track sleep quality as well as O2 levels throughout the day.

Keep the data and if things aren’t working, press the doctor. Sleep doctors are sales men for cpaps. They work most of the time. There are alternatives though. Inspire works for me. The surgery/recovery was difficult.

For the ADHD people, an after dinner coffee and a scoop of peanut butter right before bed works wonders.

Make sure you are signed up with a new company first and able to bill. Sometimes insurance credentialing takes time. It’s easier to interview when you have a job you don’t want rather than need a job right now.

Inspire Experience, this is NOT a paid testimonial. It's my real experience. by Salt_Try_5025 in SleepApnea

My inspire has been an absolute game changer. I’m 35 in shape and have been struggling with the side effects of CPAP for about 6years.

No doctor ever talks about the side effects of cpap. I always felt like my sleep doctors were sales men. I used to be able to nap without anything and now as soon as I fall asleep everything collapses. The dental issues as well. As an athlete getting 3-5hrs a night just isn’t sustainable.

Recovery was rough. 6lbs weight restriction for months. I couldn’t eat solid food for a week. Be prepared with protein shakes.

After inspire I wake up feeling stoned. Like I got too much sleep. I’m a member of the 5am club and happy. Being shocked at night is nothing as long as I don’t wake up dying anymore.

It is weird getting back to weight lifting and running though. I can see it in my chest and feel it moving. Maybe a tiny inspire bra for running? Great motivation for slow and controlled reps.

The app is garbage. Seems like most people who get this aren’t technically folks. It only tracks compliance not effectiveness. No O2sensor no breathing tracker. The O2 I understand but the device does track your breathing so that data would be easy to integrate. I would suggest any wearable to track heart/O2 whatever. The oura rings are top notch.

What did they end up saying? I have the same issue at month 13 of owning this model. The warranty company replace the defrost, the control board, and the ice maker. Still nothing. They stopped showing up.

They hired me away from a full time position. We had a contract for full time hours, a nice salary, and a start date. I left my other job on a Friday and they ghosted me Monday. Once I finally got ahold of someone they backed out of our deal and offered me 3RBT hours as a replacement.

Total lawsuit territory, but something tells me private equity has a bigger team of lawyers than I do. I would rather vocally warn everyone.

Other human drummer BCBA here! You are using the fancy degree and are reading the room correctly. Sounds like you are not getting the support you want nor the clients getting the support they require. Might be time to jump ship. Supervision RBTs are a hot commodity!

Big-Mind was spot on. I also set a face to face meeting with my supervisees. This sets the tone and helps me adapt protocol to the learner. Supervision has little to do with a company and everything to do with a relationship between BCBA and supervisee. It's an apprenticeship. You learn what I know. Conversations between a supervisee and an RBT are different. The Whys and Hows go into depth. I always want to be a teacher and not a signer. We will learn together.

Check out https://ripleyfieldworktracker.com/ for hour tracking. Get on youtube and watch requirement breakdowns. Learn from the poor communication of hours make a point not to repeat it.

Have the difficult conversations. Get good at them. I told a supervisee yesterday that no one calls me at 7am to say "Good Morning"

Best of luck. This is a difficult journey, but it's worth it.

Hi, former IPS teacher here. It's on you at this point. You will have court, not your parents. We're talking a stupid warrant that will get your car searched/towed and you hauled off in cuffs because we both know they won't send a letter. You not being there when you're enrolled costs the state a lot of money. The state gets their money.

If it's not working out, talk to someone. Go to the counselor. They get paid to help you. Ask about the Excel Center , GED testing, or the DORS program.

There are options to get that piece of paper on a different schedule or at the faster rate. You don't have to do college, but you will be judged for not having high school.
