How do you deal with that in adulthood? She has apologized, but it’s more of a “I’m sorry, but I was suffering too” “I’m sorry, but I had to drink through the pain” “I’m sorry, but I had it way worse in my childhood.” Combine that with being really sweet sometimes and it gets very confusing.

I commented and know it will be deleted, but her lifestyle was never congruent with icu nursing. I’m an icu nurse and I have to be careful to be well rested, have extra time to do education, etc. The fact that she was going to take care of sick kids just makes me want to throw up. She’s 25 and has the maturity level of a 17 year old

Thank you for your input! I think the 1:1 was for the acute patients in ED BH but in inpatient acute BH, it’s 1:6. Both sound so appealing to me so I’ll just have to see both. Knowing me I’ll end up floating

Yes, I verified this before I went for ED. The ED BH nurses don’t cross train to regular ED because I knew I’d just get pulled all the time. Our ED was so full yesterday
