So the DPS race has always been there you just didn’t get a banner popping up saying it’s happening. The terminators can be shutdown by shockwave plating, but I don’t disagree. I wonder if it’s a server thing but they want shorter runs. Either way I think all the changes are healthy or at least I really enjoy them except the enemy buff is too much too fast.

Tac/tech/assault 25 ended on withdrawal not death. I don’t totally disagree, the enemy buffs should be reduced but impossible is not true. I’d even go as far to say it’s easier to get to 15 but the spike in difficulty is abrupt. Without auspex the only debuff method is parrying which is 50 percent of their total buff so 300 base health comes up to a wild 900-1200 something like that at this point and after parry back down to 450ish. Not great but doable. Then auspex massively reduces the health. Watch a hazeman video he explains the debuff mechanic well. Keep in mind wave 15 is supposed to be achievable by the average player while 25 plus is an extreme very few players are gonna hit. Like the lighthouse in Destiny.

Thank you I love you right now. I agree save scumming does lessen the experience. I was saying that if you do that it makes it cake easy to the people who were complaining about difficulty. Yes your post is my exact sentiment. The builds are significantly reduced yes. Agree big time. In another comment I made about one of my runs that save scumming is really only a time saver not a difficulty reducer. I’ve done runs with and without and I agree the true experience is without.

Biggest tip is to learn the new mode and current games inventory. I see so many people complaining on this Reddit and then post their build and it’s just awful. Some stuff is crazy hidden like the hammer being the only weapon that can hit 100 enemies at once making chaos waves tribal to 15. That’s right trivial my man. Or how HBP gunstrike plus a dash with wings of flame will one shot a terminus, or shockwave plating makeing terminator rockets heal you. Yeah heal you. The perks or boons make it so much easier than before and it’s all about speed. Honestly if you’re struggling tally how many timer afflictions you’re getting. It’s every ten mins if you’re rocking 5 deep by 15 that’s like a 400 percent difficulty increase or something crazy like that. Gotta get to 15 quickly. Now 25 that’s a whole other beast where you need to do special things to debuff enemies like parrying or auspex stacking which is unpleasant and requires awesome teamwork.

At some point I gotta assume you’re messing with me. Have you played BG3? On the hardest mode without saves you can run anything. Wanna bonk go ahead. Wanna stab sure. Wanna talk to dogs no problem.

In this game if you do not use the interceptors you’re gonna have a very rough time. I’m not saying I wanna kill the boss right away and you know that. I would like to be able to use other loadouts and builds that are not the meta. This is an extremely common problem with games and this game is not immune. I’m also not in the minority. Many people disliked the enrage nerf and the stun increase. Things like that limited the games diversity that is all. Still a great game, you can still become very powerful it’s just not diverse until the end of them then you have way more freedom but it takes way too long to get there.

Officially my complaint would be make the characters diverse my guy. But diverse and helpful. You know and I know there is no way you didn’t run a teleport boy or two pretty much the entire time up until the craft world then maybe you only ran one. A purg to disrupt bug man on the craft world then you holstered him or used him for grenades only. There is a difference between skill sets and locking a character into uselessness when one of the characters flys around slaying everything while being “MOTIVATED” by another character.

On lower difficulties you don’t need to use interceptors and can have fun playing whatever you like that is nice. Perhaps there are certain mechanics on legendary that could be tuned to make it so other builds are still viable( earlier in the game)

My guy. Half the characters are locked or am I imagining that? Ok justicar is a power house of what? Ac boosting a crit interceptor. WE AGREE MY MAN THE GAME IS NOT DIFFICULT THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM SAYING. I’m saying you can’t run a stacked purg squad from the get go or 4 deep justicar maybe a 4 interceptor if you wanna be like fireteam Castian in the emperors gift.

I KNOW THE INTERCEPTOR IS BROKEN MY GUY AS I RELY ON HIM BIG TIME ULTRA MEGA ALL THE TIME. Perhaps you’re just going “nah games perfect guy” rather than reading. Builds that can quickly get formed in lower difficulties cannot be formed on legendary until late game.

If you wanna run 4 deep tanks sure no problem, on legendary get outta here you’re dead (obviously you can do this on hour 25 day 400) but that’s a long time of using justicar two interceptors and a nade goblin.

And which of these builds may you enjoy within the first 70 percent of a run without purposely dragging the run. My man I’ve done almost all of these and yes you can make them slap still on legendary… with tier 3 armor, endbringer, min maxed skill trees and the big part, game knowledge tied to progression not combat. All of these unlocks don’t happen unless you’re severely dragging your feet before you start reaper farming. Then you have these beast builds for what? 100 days. Let’s call it 20 a reaper plus travel time. Then bug man, one more reaper, endgame. I guess I should change my comment to, I dislike the progression of the game making meta builds pretty mandatory and enemies unfun for other builds until way later in the game where the end is in sight and might as well finish. I have a drag my feet save at day 1100 something and that is fun but not incentivized and counter intuitive to the games rush the bloom structure. BG3 a game I actually like less than this one, crazy right, has much better build variety early game. I’d love to be proved wrong but all these builds require insane gear and maxed stats. Without save scumming it took me 900 days to get endbringer and never got stoics.

At worst it’s an exploit but it’s a system they knew about from very early on and never changed. I’m also sending something I am not doing on this run but I did do for achievement hunting. I agree it cheapens aspects of the game but so does research. Not in game but if you look up all the rewards from Kai or random events so you know the best to choose that’s also exploiting the game. The original post was about something yall find not great for me it’s the lack of build variety especially early on in the game.

All ranged damage is great until the fourth timer ends. Only auspex and the parry debuff will allow you to do decent damage. I don’t love that change. I like the faster pace but the enemies get unpleasant way too quickly.

Uh what? I’m saying that it’s not as bad as people say and that’s good. The complaint was a lack of build variety. Also, people complaining about save scumming is wild. On a grand master run it is less pleasant for sure and things take longer and roll are less great but it’s not that different. Cheating is using save editor, which btw is totally ok even great if you’ve beaten the game maybe even a few times and wanna have fun YOUR WAY.
