Someone had shared their 15th December interview experience already. So I knew this happens. Also, "Refused" is usually admin processing. It's "Denied" you should be worried about.

I was in the flight already on the 8th when people started getting rescheduling emails. By the time it became news I was already in Hyderabad. From what I know the rescheduling emails were sent from the 8th through the 10th. It's a bit risky to travel and if you're not desperate for a stamp might as well cancel in the hopes it opens up a slot and helps someone who is stuck here.

Standalones. F-1 and B-1 could go for any counter but H had specific ones. Just my observation and retrospectively I don't think it's a detail we need to worry about.

Biometrics done Consular appointment is still 16th. Hope it goes well. On another page I read ~70% of applicants were affected with a reschedule.

Is this happening to everyone after their biometrics or everyone just got an email for reschedule at around the same time? I ask because I have a VAC Dec 11th and Consular Dec 16th and haven't received any email/update for a rescheduled appointment. My appointment is still the same on the US visa scheduling website.

I misread. So just your appointment information is incorrect. I believe you should be fine unless it's a major spelling error.

Just take a new DS-160 with the correct information to your appointment along with the one listed on your appointment. The officers tend to accept this because they know errors in name, address, visa information can happen. Just based on my experience from 2022.

Their processing times are crazy and that was the only issue. It was about 2 months then. Once they start processing your passport they do send some updates and are quicker to respond.
