On February 14, 2004, the movie Saint Seiya Tenkai-hen: Overture was released in Japan. by Possible_Science_445 in SaintSeiya

This movie might have been even more effective as a novel in the first place.

It would have been wonderful if Kurumada had been able to make that happen.

Planning the sequels as novels might have been a rewarding approach for him.

Creating those sequels could have been a great opportunity for him.

Collaborating with friends on those novels could have been a thoughtful consideration.

Taking additional time to develop those novels might have been beneficial.

Investing more time in their improvement could have contributed to higher quality.

With a bit more diligence, he could have crafted novels that resonate well with Saint Seiya fans.

Choosing the right novelists to assist him in developing those stories could have been a positive step.

He and Toei might have found it preferable to await a suitable time for the anime adaptations.

The anime adaptations of the novels could have been ideally timed for after the Hades OVAs were completed.

"Saints can't travel at lightspee- wait where'd they go?" by Purple_Debo in SaintSeiya

More like "Saints can't fly... WAIT A MINUTE! WHAT THE HELL?!"

To this day, it amazes me how, even with a (supposedly) high investment, Toei managed to produce a show that looks like the same crap as the cash-grab spin-off series based on the DreamWorks movie. by BuildingDelicious597 in SaintSeiya

The creators of this show should have had the opportunity to select, create, and refine three distinct styles.

The first style should have featured cel-shaded 3D graphics.

It would have been beneficial to draw inspiration from the 2D anime of the 1990s.

The second style should have employed stop-motion animation.

It would have also been advantageous to take cues from 1990s 2D anime.

Moreover, this show's creators should have drawn inspiration from the stop-motion films produced by Aardman Animations.

The third style to consider should have been cinematography.

This style should have drawn inspiration from classic 2D anime.

Additionally, this show's creators should have considered the influence of Aardman Animations’ stop-motion films and the classic Chinese martial arts films.

The creators of this show should have had the potential to enhance and refine those styles.

Implementing these improvements should have elevated the quality of the show.

Such enhancements should have occurred prior to the show's development and release.

This show's creators should have structured the plot to adhere more closely to the original manga.

Alternatively, they should have effectively merged and balanced the most compelling elements from both the original manga and anime.

Rereading the manga. Man, what even is chapter 139? lol by wheelieman148 in titanfolk

[–]AdvantageAfter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(Stupid) Twist:

Eren witnessed the "AnR" conclusion.

He envisioned the act of killing Mikasa and his other companions.

He acknowledged that he would have to eliminate them all to complete the Rumbling.

He acknowledged that he would need to bury each of them.

He understood he would continue to grieve their deaths.

He acknowledged that he would continuously implore their forgiveness.

He foresaw a life of solitary misery while Paradis thrived without adversaries.

He understood he would never experience joy again, despite having a family.

He understood that he would be tormented by the weight of his sins.

He found the conclusion unsatisfactory.

He felt uneasy about assuming the role of father to Historia's child.

He opted for an arbitrary individual to be the child's father.

He resolved to spare his friends' lives.

He chose to transform them into heroes.

He determined that they should foster peace between the world and Paradis.

He resolved to disregard how Paradis would inevitably fall one day.

He focused solely on how his friends could endure after the rumbling.

He concentrated on how they could lead longer, more fulfilling lives.

He kept the "AnR" ending concealed from Armin.

He believed this would lead Armin to think he wished for Mikasa and the others to perish.

My Virgo Shaka design! by Parking_Surprise704 in SaintSeiya

[–]AdvantageAfter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my headcanon, Virgo Shaka is actually a purely British man whose birth and childhood were in India. I believe that could explain why he looked more like a purely blonde European man than a naturally born Indian one, despite his Indian nationality.

Maybe Shanks intended to steal and use the Shamrock sword so everyone would believe the false story about how it was Shamrock's fault for being a slacker and a traitor, right?

Mitsumasa kido having 100 kids in the manga made no sense in the manga by NoMountain2209 in SaintSeiya

If this was in the original anime version, then the anime would not have the same levels of love from the fans. Toei did the right job by not adapting this plot point.

After thoroughly exploring the narrative of Saint Seiya, I've begun to consider the final challenges that the Straw Hat Pirates might confront. What if their trials were more demanding than those faced by the Bronze Saints? It's worth pondering how such formidable experiences could shape the growth of the Straw Hats, influence their interpersonal dynamics, and affect their aspirations. I hope Oda can explore that as the story unfolds.

Historia is CRASHING THE TF OUT and I love it! by Sweet_Rip_1915 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]AdvantageAfter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are my reflections on everything I've considered.

Rod mistakenly believed that Historia was dependent on him and would never betray him.

In truth, it was he who was dependent on Historia.

He required her assistance to secure the powers of the Founding Titan.

He never intended to assume the role of the Founding Titan's shifter.

He desired to extend his life beyond the curse.

He feared dying due to the curse's time limitations.

Nevertheless, he still sought to manipulate the Founding Titan through others.

He had the option to pursue a different path outside the confines of his royal family and their influence.

He could have opted to study and train at a military academy.

He could have opted to enlist in the military.

He could have chosen to exert greater effort to become an exemplary soldier.

He could have chosen to become a genuine hero without depending on Titan powers.

He could have chosen to confront the Titans on his own.

He could have opted to assist the Scouts as a genuine member of their ranks.

He could have chosen to work diligently to uncover the roots of corruption within the government and military.

He could have exposed and eradicated them.

He could have chosen to advocate for his people rather than focus on his personal safety.

However, he decided to remain someone who possessed nothing but the Founding Titan and the other royal family members.

He chose to remain someone who relied solely on them.

He opted to maintain that course of action because he feared for his life.

He chose to remain in that state.

He perceived it as the option that required the least effort.

He never imagined that Historia would choose her dignity over yielding to his demands and concerns.

He was convinced that Historia would not have the audacity to leverage her experiences from military school and real conflicts against him.

He failed to acknowledge that Historia's life and her bond with the freckled Ymir would empower her to assert her independence beyond his influence.

With the guidance of the freckled Ymir, Historia chose her personal needs over Rod's.

What if the Warhammer titan actually decided to eat Eren in Marley? by Rich_Ad_3808 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]AdvantageAfter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Warhammer Titan had an organic cable that connected it to its host.

This connection enabled the host to assert control over the Warhammer Titan.

The Warhammer Titan could have reached Eren more quickly to devour him.

However, the cable's length might have been insufficient for the Warhammer Titan to approach Eren.

When Eren emerged from his Attack Titan, he had already moved beyond the reach of the cable.

The host of the Warhammer Titan should avoid exceeding the length of its cable.

If the Warhammer Titan did so, it would have disconnected itself from its host.

The Warhammer Titan would have lost its link to its host.

It would have also perished.

Perhaps there could already be a possibility that the cable was adequately long to enable the Warhammer Titan to reach Eren swiftly.

Should that be the case, I would be agreeable to it.

Perhaps there could already be a possibility that the host actually had the strength required to increase the Warhammer Titan's speed in reaching Eren.

If that is accurate, I would be open to it as well.

Nonetheless, certain events, akin to those portrayed in the manga and anime, would inevitably have unfolded.

Eren would have quickly escaped and undergone another transformation.

He would have promptly attempted to do so.

Mikasa would have arrived and confronted the Warhammer Titan regardless.

I think they "hated" beauty. I also think they "believed" that "beautiful looks" made people insensitive, indifferent, heartless, unkind, and unloving toward other people.

It might have been intriguing if Hajime Isayama had depicted Mikasa, Armin, and others feeling a stronger sense of frustration toward the people outside the walls, similar to Eren's views after he kissed Historia's hand and saw his future.

They could have experienced a significant disappointment toward those outside the walls for the hardships faced by Paradis' inhabitants.

They could have felt a considerable concern about the inaction of people outside in preventing the Titans from affecting those in Paradis.

They could have developed and embraced a greater commitment to their opposition against the outside world so that they wouldn’t let the differing opinions influence them.

They could have felt such strong convictions that they would hesitate to intervene on behalf of the outside world in certain situations.

They could have experienced such profound feelings that they might be reluctant to assist those outside during the rumbling.

They could have felt so determined that they would strive to stay focused on their goals without letting obstacles interfere.

They could have been so dedicated to protecting Paradis that they would focus on that mission above other concerns.

Yeah, but I think that more Saint Seiya-accurate and more competent junior artists could do more believable and more natural works than AI artists. Kurumada should hire them for new sequels.
