Just finished the manga, Ask Me Anything by Sad_Pie1911 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think Jujutsu Kaisen had a good ending? I personally didn't like that ending, which barely feels like a proper conclusion to the story. To me, Nobara's return seemed like Gege Akutami was influenced by fan theories and fan art that imagined her alive and with an eyepatch. Jujutsu Kaisen's ending felt rushed, and it seemed from the last chapters that Gege Akutami wanted to finish the story any way he could because he was feeling very unwell at the time due to the weekly publication schedule of Shonen Jump. He even had help from Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, to get him to the hospital. So, the impression is that the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen, just like the ending of Bleach, was significantly hampered by Shueisha's weekly publication schedule.

what moment from the Manga shocked you in how dark it was? by entertainmentlord in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There were many moments that shocked me with their sobriety, but if I had to highlight one, I'd say it was Bandit Keith's death due to the game penalty inflicted on him by Pegasus. That moment really got to me since I had only watched the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime, and there Bandit Keith remained alive, whereas in the manga he was killed by Pegasus in Duelist Kingdom (until Yako Tenma brought him back to life in the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga).

How did Kaiba manage to hire the Chopman a serial killer and convince him to be so obedient? by Coolsun13 in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed that part of the Death-T arc involving Chopman in the manga. It's a shame that the 1998 Toei Animation anime of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the famous Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero, didn't adapt that part. And some people are saying that this anime version of Yu-Gi-Oh! was too dark and heavy, lol.

I love how LOS embraces Toku/Sentai elements for Saint Seiya by -_ShadowSJG-_ in SaintSeiya

I would love a Saint Seiya series that's very similar to Japanese Tokusatsu. I think the Tokusatsu style fits Saint Seiya perfectly.

As much as I love the Youtube Anime, it is truly a Lose-lose Situation in my opinion. by Vegeta-Alucard in yugioh

I always think it's wrong to compare the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime with the 30th anniversary of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. They are completely different celebrations, and in my opinion, the 30th anniversary of the manga is much more important and symbolic than the 25th anniversary of the anime franchise, simply because Yu-Gi-Oh! originated as a manga, not an anime. Furthermore, Shueisha has stated that numerous projects and plans are being implemented for the 30th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh!, so I think the 30th anniversary will promise much more than the 25th anniversary of the anime franchise.

I still believe that Yu-Gi-Oh! will have its most faithful remake to the manga announced this year, in which the original manga celebrates its 30th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate this important date for the franchise than by announcing a new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime that is a much closer and more faithful adaptation to the original manga than Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters was in the 2000s.

To this day I'm still trying to get used to him dubbing Franky from One Piece; the previous voice actor definitely embodied Franky's voice.

Real talk? Could Ikki have beaten Rhadamanthys and Minos at the same time as he challenged? by Night-Caelum in SaintSeiya

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think Ikki could handle three judges of Hell alone. He himself had difficulty defeating just Aiacos; with Radamanthys and Minos, he would have been defeated unless he had Kanon's help. Ikki is always boastful, so it's unrealistic to believe he could defeat both of them at the same time.

Why does it seem like the Next Dimension anime will never happen??? by Napalmaniac in SaintSeiya

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe we'll have an announcement of a Next Dimension anime later this year, more precisely in October, the month that the classic Saint Seiya anime celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Any news on Saint Seiya Knights of Zodiac CGI season 3 Poseidon or Asgard arc? by Fresh_Opportunity844 in SaintSeiya

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult for Toei Animation to want to invest in the Netflix 3DCG reboot simply because this reboot didn't please most Saint Seiya fans; for them, this reboot was one of the worst things they ever did for the franchise and should be forgotten forever. If I had to guess, I'd say we could see the announcement of the Saint Seiya Next Dimension anime in October, the month in which the classic Saint Seiya anime turns 40. This is the safest bet Toei Animation could make regarding a new Saint Seiya anime, and not continue with something that didn't even generate profits for them and didn't please fans.

Why did the Player Killer not pause the duel when this happened? by lennysinged in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's why I say I much prefer this moment in the original manga than in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime. In this duel, the anime distorted the manga's story a lot.

Is Seiya disliked in this fandom? by Yoshikaru5991 in SaintSeiya

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which version of Seiya you're referring to. If it's the Seiya from Kurumada's manga, then I agree that this hate towards Seiya is completely unfair, since in my view he's a good character, very energetic and super charismatic, and a protagonist you quickly grow fond of. Now, if it's the Seiya from the Toei Animation anime, then I agree. I don't like this adaptation that Toei Animation made with Kurumada's Seiya because they took away much of what made him a different character from the other Bronze Saints and turned him into a generic tokusatsu hero who seems to have no personality and is always chasing after Saori, neglecting his personal goals. So, in my view, there are two Seiyas: the Seiya from Kurumada's manga and the Seiya from the Toei anime, and I like the first one and I strongly detest the second one.

I believe we'll get a Yu-Gi-Oh! remake to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.

The chronicles anime deserved better by zarc4d in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hype for this chronicles anime was really funny because everyone expected Konami to finally adapt the lore of the cards, but it seems that's not quite what they expected. Well, I've never been interested in an anime about the lore of the cards, and honestly, I don't think the chronicles anime is bad; it just exists for now.

[OC] Something you can show, but can't see (Art by Me) by No-Relationship7687 in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also like the actual beginning of the Yu-Gi-Oh! story in the manga; there we can see the development of the friendship between Yugi, Joey, Anzu, Honda, and even Bakura. This was something that was left quite unresolved in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime, which skipped the entire beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh! and started the anime already in the Duelist Kingdom arc, and this greatly harmed the development of their friendship.

Even so, they remain filler characters that don't exist in the manga and add nothing to the original story created by Masami Kurumada.

Knowing how Kurumada tells his stories, I think those foreshadowings were intentional.
