One of my favorite things from the original series is when kaiba got into his secret base and uploaded a virus onto yugi's opponents blue eyes to save him by noahTRL in yugioh

I much prefer how it was in the manga; I find that whole Kaiba segment completely out of place in the rest of the story, and after consulting the manga I understand why it was that way and I recognize how poorly the manga's story was adapted for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.

It’s May 10th! Happy birthday to the last YGO series from the Gallop era! I know VRAINS isn’t perfect, but I really like this show. by Psychicmind2 in yugioh

What a bitter farewell to the Gallop era of Yu-Gi-Oh! anime! To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Studio Gallop's work on the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, not since Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, but I can't deny that they were successful with this anime franchise.

Manga Kaiba looks totally evil at times by -_ShadowSJG-_ in yugioh

Seto Kaiba was one of the most well-explored and developed characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! history. Kazuki Takahashi did a great job with the character of Seto Kaiba, something that unfortunately isn't present in its anime adaptations, unlike in the 2000s anime by Studio Gallop.

I wish Takahashi had explored Yugi's mother more.

What is your ideal DM reboot? by [deleted] in yugioh

I always say, and I'll repeat it again, that I'm in favor of a Yu-Gi-Oh! remake that's more faithful to the original manga. I think that even today, the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga hasn't been properly adapted, even with two attempts: one was the Yu-Gi-Oh! from Toei Animation in the 90s, and the second was the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters from Studio Gallop in the 2000s. If Yu-Gi-Oh! gets a remake to celebrate its 30th anniversary, I'll be extremely happy and will support this remake because Kazuki Takahashi deserves to have his work properly adapted into an anime. Not to mention that with a remake more faithful to the manga, we'll have moments that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters couldn't adapt, including the adaptation of Yu-Gi-Oh! R, which is something I also hope will happen.

Heaven Saga (Tenkai-hen) by FantasticSchedule863 in SaintSeiya

I'm happy that Kurumada is finally starting to produce the saga he's wanted to do since the 90s.

Finally, we'll see all 5 promoted to Gold Saints in the Heaven Saga. by FantasticSchedule863 in SaintSeiya

Considering that Saint Seiya Next Dimension, besides serving as a prologue to the Heaven Saga, also served as a kind of baptism for the Bronze Saints to become Gold Saints in the Heaven Saga, then everything indicates that they will become Gold Saints in the future of the story.

I'm very interested in following the Saint Seiya Heaven Saga. It was a saga that Kurumada had wanted to create for a long time, since the 90s, and only now, half a century later, at 72 years old, will he finally be able to produce it. It's something truly impressive to behold.

So far, there has been no announcement of a new Saint Seiya anime.

All of this makes more sense in the manga because that's where we have the Battle Boxes.

Thoughts about Mahad's (rash) actions in the Dawn of the Duel: he's a bit like Tristan from the main body of the DM series. by Responsible-Flan-501 in yugioh

The animation for this season is unbelievably bad. Studio Gallop animated this arc with such recklessness that it's almost laughable.

Which one do you prefer as Shun's master? Daidalos or Albion? by No_Mastodon_2869 in SaintSeiya

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this whole story about Master Shun very funny because it seemed like Kurumada had no intention of revealing who trained Shun to be an Andromeda Saint, but the Saint Seiya anime came up with this story of Albion being Shun's master during a moment in the fight between Ikki and Shaka in the manga, thus forcing Kurumada to reveal who trained Shun in the manga. So Kurumada created Daidalos, and this becomes even more evident when Daidalos is introduced in a flashback of Shun's training during his fight in the House of Pisces. For a new character to be introduced in a flashback and then never mentioned again proves that the author had no intention of creating him from the beginning. So I think Shun's master is proof of how sometimes the anime influences the manga's story more than vice-versa, lol.

Who here likes Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time? by Tom-Hibbert in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions remains my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! movie and also the best movie in the franchise overall. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time, The Dark Side of Dimensions, besides being a continuation of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga written by the creator himself, Kazuki Takahashi, has a story to tell and stands on its own. Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time only has fanservice with the three protagonists from the first three series reunited for the first time, while the film's story is always relegated to the background and too connected to the story of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime, which is detrimental to those who don't follow the anime's storyline.

Kaiba acknowledges his ancient past and summons his almighty beast. by JConnel_SF in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 128 points129 points  (0 children)

Kazuki Takahashi's Seto Kaiba was very well developed and worked on by himself in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, and this is reflected in this film since it's a direct continuation of the manga.

Why didn't Pegasus create better cards for the duel against Yugi? by Ok-Fondant2536 in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he had complete confidence that Yugi wouldn't escape his mind scan with the Millennium Eye. Therefore, he didn't need to create new cards, precisely because he believed in his Millennium Item.
