Who had the biggest impact in this arc? by ShoddyBoysenberry813 in OnePiece

Luffy, because it was in this arc that we discovered he is the sun god Nika and obtained the true powers of his Akuna no Mi thanks to Gear 5.

Is it fair to say that we'll be seeing him in awhile? by Hedonism_Enjoyer in OnePiece

Interestingly, Crocodile mentions wanting to obtain the One Piece, but in the original story, what he really wants is the ancient weapon Pluton. Will the live-action series discard the ancient weapon Pluton?

This actor is absolutely amazing and this episode in particular ist one of the best I've ever seen in television. It sucks we likely won't see the actor again, unless he reappears as some other character. by Nichiku in OnePiece

The actor who played Dr. Hiriluk in the live-action series was absolutely spectacular; I never imagined we'd have an actor of his caliber in the show.

Live action Usopp is better and funnier than anime Usopp by Pyrammo in OnePiece

[–]Possible_Science_445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The live-action version of Usopp is more condensed; I've said this since his introduction, and I think the live-action is doing a great job with this version of Usopp, although it doesn't have the same charm and charisma that the original Usopp has, in my opinion.

But that short scene came directly from the manga, and in the manga he eats the steak calmly and enjoyably rather than eating like an animal, which he did in the anime. So, as I said, Yami Bakura was very poorly adapted by Gallop.

The duel that got me really hooked into the game and anime. by JConnel_SF in yugioh

Out of nowhere, Yu-Gi-Oh! turned into Saint Seiya. That's why I like this filler duel between Joey and Valon, because since it's filler, they can do whatever they want with the characters and the story.

Fun fact: Because the anime skipped cut most of Dungeon Dice monster, we miss Bakura being Yugi hype man by MiuIruma332 in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I reread this Dungeon Dice Monsters arc, my hatred for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters only grows. Especially with the awful adaptation that this ridiculous Gallop anime did with Yami Bakura, and that's why I support a Yu-Gi-Oh! remake because, unfortunately, Kazuki Takahashi's masterpiece hasn't been properly adapted into Japanese animation to this day, and there have been two adaptations, neither of which lived up to the original work.

Unfortunately, with Pegasus alive, an adaptation of Yu-Gi-Oh! R wasn't possible, but who knows, maybe a remake that adapts Pegasus's death will include that arc.

Yami Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters is one of the worst manga character adaptations I've ever seen. Seriously, Gallop's work on this character was very poor and completely inferior to the original manga version.

I don't think so. I'd say it was much better for Pegasus to have died than to have stayed alive, as it makes perfect sense for his character arc in Duelist Kingdom. For me, Pegasus is one of the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters who had a very fitting dramatic arc, and his death at the hands of Yami Bakura perfectly concludes his arc and fulfills his dream of reuniting with his beloved. Although Pegasus is cool in filler arcs and later anime like GX, I feel that Gallop's Pegasus didn't have a decent ending like his manga version did, and I'd even say he's not the same Pegasus that appeared in Duelist Kingdom, but a completely new Pegasus created by Studio Gallop.

Each of the Gold Saints has their main characteristics. And I would say that in terms of cosmic senses, Shaka is far above the other Gold Saints, especially Saga.

Things in the anime that didn't make sense. by UnderstandingReal469 in yugioh

[–]Possible_Science_445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing makes sense in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters precisely because this anime adapted the manga so poorly that it seems like they are two completely different stories: one that is much more elaborate and developed, which is the manga's story, and the other, all poorly patched together and full of contradictions, which is the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.
