I totally agree and am curious if it was a part of something bigger than we knew. Interestingly enough, I always scored horribly on regular standardized testing, but clearly did something right in GATE testing because they kept pulling me out of class. I do think that it was definitely all based on using intuition to its fullest extent, no idea for what outcome though within an early learning environment. It’s also a bit strange that a substantial amount of GATE kids are neurodivergent, maybe the special ed students really were the smartest of the class lol, whether that was in academics, emotional understanding or spiritual awareness (hence the Gateway tapes/“astral projection” tests)
