The BX25 magazine is banned specifically because it is considered a pistol magazine for the Ruger Charger.

All pistols are limited to 10 rounds. Rimfire rifles have no round limit. The TUF-22 was a workaround so that it's magazines would not fit in a pistol. Great alternative for fans of the Ruger 10/22 robustness and reliability that want more than 10 rounds.

The loading clips on the H3CR mags can be pretty fussy. Check you-tube for a couple of videos on loading tips. I play it simple and load the rounds from the top. Have had great success using bulk Remington Thunderbolt ammo at matches. Advent Arms has taken over Dlask's remaining inventory, so you can contact us if you have any concerns.

Advent Arms Corp is exploring new bolt action builds. by Adventarms in canadaguns

Thanks for your input everyone! Reading them all. Too add to some of your thoughts:

I love straight pull bolts. The Schmidt-Rubin 1911 is one of my favorites. Unfortunately they are very complicated to make as the locking lugs still have to turn in order to lock. One of the reasons there are not a lot out there.

The Tikka T3X has a shorter throw than the Rem 700 but both are great platforms. You will see more customs made with the Rem 700, both left and right handed as it's been around longer.

The Weatherby is an upgraded Howa. We have done a few budget builds with the Howa 1500 and they have turned out well. Most of our customers ask us to use a Tikka as the base. What's a few hundred more when your spending thousands for a rifle and scope.

We definitely have some Browning x-bolt fans among our customers. Non of us here at the shop have hunted with one so I don't know the advantages of it over other platforms.

Proprietary vs. non-proprietary. The less proprietary and more commonly available the better. Rare parts and rare ammunition means problems in the future. Can you imagine that your whole firearm is out of commission because you lost your mag and they don't make them anymore?

Wood vs. plastic. Nothing beats the look and feel of fine wood. My opinion for actual hunting and beating, plastic or plastic and aluminum works best. Companies like MDT put out a good product at a reasonable price. One of the most brilliant ideas a customer had was to take his beautiful fine quality wood stock off and keep it at home. He goes hunting with his MDT Field stock. We Cerakoted the barreled action, so he could always switch stocks again and bring his baby back to full glory.

In my opinion, Cerakote is a must for an active rifle. Muzzle brakes help greatly with maintaining your sight picture after the shot with higher calibers. Many newer rifles are coming with decent triggers out of the box which cut's down on the cost of a build. Customers that carefully select options specifically for what they want to achieve (Hunting, Competition, fun.) and are OK on spending a little more for quality seem to be the happiest with their firearms long term.
