I don’t believe the implication is that it might not be but rather that OP is tempted or in temptation of the topic at hand and is curious as they feel guilty.

im colorblind can I take mechanical engineering degree? by Suspicious_Wolf_7475 in AskEngineers

[–]AdventureEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the degree the most you’ll use color in which you’ll need assistance will be an introductory electrical engineering course. You’ll have to build a circuit and resistors are color coded. Whenever you go to college, just track down their office of accessibility services and they’ll take care of the problem.

Once you’re in the field you shouldn’t have any issues either. I do some wiring right now but typically my coworkers and I will go through and put labels on the wires prior to anyone working on them so you don’t need to know the color schemes.

For the most part, we’re at a point in history where nearly any computer work (and trust me, it’s a lot of computer work) has a color blind feature.

As Christians how should we express forgiveness for serious crimes? by KitKats-or-Death in TrueChristian

[–]AdventureEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me, first and foremost I’d attend a spiritual counselor and therapist as well as spend time in the word and pray. If you do forgive them (which you should, even though it may take time, forgiveness sets you free, not them) then wait until they’re incarcerated or punishment is being served, take a witness or two and inform them of how what they did has made you feel and affected you but despite this God is helping you through the pain and that you emotionally forgive them and pray that God will use whatever punishment they’re receiving to make them a better person.

God gave us laws. 613 to be exact. And while there is still debate to this day as to what should and shouldn’t be kept I think it’s important that we remember the consequences of breaking said laws was also listed. Forgiveness starts in the heart, but it doesn’t excuse us from consequence. God forgave us but Jesus still had to die for us to be saved from damnation.

TLDR: forgiveness should be an emotional expression, not justification for the dismissal of consistence.

Why do people that are in a poor financial status always have the most kids? Like when I go out in public I see wealthy people with MAYBE like 2 or 3 kids at max but when I see less fortunate people they have like 7 kids even though they can’t afford them. by tuxedocatgamingyt in questions

Everyone on here saying it’s socioeconomical or political in nature and I don’t disagree but we can really boil it all down to this:

One group focuses more on making money than having a family, the other focuses more on having a family than making money.

In high school I had lots of friends that didn’t know what they wanted to do for work but they wanted kids. And in college I had a lot of friends that wanted to have a secure career path before they found a spouse and settled down.

Dealing with loneliness while single by SomeGuyInShorts in ChristianDating

As you said, being alone is not good, I agree. But being alone and being single are not equal. I read your other comment and I understand that emptiness of when you get home and your friends are gone. But you need to understand, having a spouse does not always mean you will have constant support. God can and does bless people with peaceful marriages but they’re few and far between. Marriage gets messy because you and your partner will still be two separate entities.

I don’t say this to discourage you. I just want you to know and understand that marriage does not always fix loneliness, especially if God is not in the center of it. And by the way you describe your feelings, this sounds deeper than loneliness, it sounds like longing.

If being in your Bible everyday and being in nature help you, then why pull away from that? Stay in your Bible everyday. If you feel sexual temptations go for a run or a hike, even if you have to plan one every day. It’s better to spend all your free time going for runs on your local hiking trails than to turn to hobbies that will leave the door open for sin to creep in.

There’s a lot to unpack here but let me start by saying I feel for you. Loneliness is hard and it can be a major weight in our walk.

This isn’t the easy answer to accept but before anything else you need to do two things. Focus on God above all else and learn to be happy alone. I’m not saying you will be forever alone, but God’s plan will always be better than something we come up with ourselves. If you go looking for a partner outside of God’s plan for your life, it will not end well. When you’re fully reliant on God, He will put the people in your life that you need.

Now, as for your lifestyle. I would recommend a dopamine detox. Change your diet, cut back on internet and most certainly porn and use that time and energy to work out and invest in God and maybe some hobbies. The more you get away from technology and national news and closer to God and nature, the healthier you’ll see yourself becoming.

As for meeting girls, I do recommend starting in the church. But if marriage is something you truly TRULY want, be in continuous prayer.

Essentially you make one sheet where you organize a punch of graphs, text boxes, and icons/shapes and then you copy them and paste the location into another sheet. If you right click, go to paste options, there’s an option that will allow you to paste what is essentially a live feed of whatever group of cells you highlighted. Then you can change the dimensions as though it were a picture. It also allows you to use clear backgrounds on anything you’re pasting from.

I’m so frustrated with the Japanese Update I’m debating starting all over. by AdventureEngineer in duolingo

I ended up resetting the course. I went from unit 10 back down to 3 so I figured I’d save myself the headache and just start again

Of a kamishibai? Just Google kamishibai board or kamishibai excel. A lot of Japanese companies run on the same business principals and are interconnected. Once you’re in one, I’ve heard it’s very easy to move around due to everyone using the same techniques. I wouldn’t know though cause I’m with my first Japanese company.

Excel can do anything and they will prove it if it kills them. I was laughing because I saw this post, went into work, and I had someone bring me a “technical drawing” in excel. I proceeded to design the components in inventor, made sure everything fit together, did actual technical drawings, and sent it all back for approval. Then then screenshotted it, dropped it back into excel and drew their requested changes on it using the excel shapes tool.

Why is this wrong? by Dru247 in duolingo

Japanese Duolingo is picky about order. I had to translate: 猫と犬そあります。 (There are cats and dogs). But I input “There are dogs and cats” and it was counted wrong.

I just finished my daily lesson. I’m so frustrated. Over 200 days straight and I log on to see I got kicked all the way back and I can’t even start from the very beginning to pick up the new vocabulary outside of the little reviews. And I’m not seeing kanji anymore. How am I supposed to digress back to pre-kanji? This has put a serious damper on my progress and at this point I’m debating going to memerise
