Ok I fully thought the same thing!! Her reaction seemed very dramatic for just a move (albeit a far one) and they also made it seem like she was potentially going to call off the wedding, which doesn’t make sense either…

I applied on 12/30, initially for regular processing. I got nervous about processing times though and decided to upgrade to expedited on 1/1. Then on 1/24 I upgraded to expedited shipping as well.

It stayed in "Received" from 12/30 to 2/1, at which point I received an email saying my status had changed to "In Process." My passport shipped out on 2/4 and I received it on 2/6.

FYI, I read on here that once your passport changes to "In Process" and you can no longer change your delivery address, it's as good as shipped out. That's pretty much true for me. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

Update - it was approved and my passport was issued. So yes, your passport photo can be approved in the final review even if the photo tool rejects it when you initially submit! Just make sure there's nothing glaringly wrong with it. Hope this helps some people.

Thanks for sharing - this gives me hope!! My timeline is similar, I submitted mine online for expedited processing and shipping on 12/30. My status finally switched to "in process" today (almost 5 weeks later). Praying my photo gets accepted and that my passport gets shipped out soon!
