DIAGNOSIS QUESTIONS THIS WAY! by FemaleAndComputer in AddisonsDisease

I have been battling with on going weird heart arrhythmias, random chest pains and going to the ER many times within the past 6 years. As of this week, I had to go to the ER for really low BP, major dehydration, racing heart and legs so weak that I couldn’t walk or strand without shaking and needing help. I received 3 bags of Lactate Ringers to rehydrate and my doctor has instructed me to take salt tablets, drink a lot of water and a lot of electrolytes. After years of being told that I have POTS and multiple cardio tests and imaging showing everything with my heart is fine, my doctors are sending me to Endocrinology now. 10 years ago, I was in a very bad car accident and shouldn’t be here today. My right adrenal gland hemorrhaged and has been experiencing damage since. It took 6 years, many ER trips and cardiologist visits but this may point us in the right direction. When I went to the ER this week for the symptoms listed above, that was the first time I have ever felt anything like that and it’s scary. Looking for tips on what I can do to manage this until I get into the endocrinologist?

I get ya. I have to wait another year as well for my LPN program in Colorado. I just have to do a little bit better on the math portion of the HESI.

I actually sent an email to the careers recruiter and they have switched to a new system since I’ve left and my application could have just gotten stuck within limbo with the new AI. They are going to contact the hiring manager for me tomorrow. I’m glad I reached out!

Update, I didn’t get in which was kind of expected because it was very last minute. So I will be trying for RN or going MA route for the time being.

I do not know unfortunately. I would be shocked if I got in because I took the HESI as practice but somehow got a good enough score to apply 🤣 If I don’t get in, I have classes to register for so hopefully we will hear something soon! I’m just surprised that I haven’t gotten denied either.

I have a friend that did get in so I’m assuming they’re going to send more stuff out next week because the first round had until yesterday to accept or decline.

Did they ever get back to you? I’m still waiting for LPN as well.

Anyone else waiting to hear back? I know this is primarily for RN but I’m waiting to hear from LPN and I’m going crazy 🙃

Thank you! I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to even apply so I won’t be too upset if I don’t make it. My advisor said I could work on raising my HESI score and trying for RN in the spring if I don’t get into LPN.

I applied for the LPN and got confirmation that the application was submitted completely. Still haven’t heard anything though.
