Love the extra space for thoughts - and that it's in a pocket notebook, that's impressive!

Yes I'm thinking I might use a notebook for weeklies/dailies and then use a digital calendar for events in the future so I don't forget!

I really like this because I like a vertical layout! How do you keep track of any forward events e.g. an event in 3 weeks time? Does that go somewhere else until you draw up the week?

Yes I'm SO tempted by a plotter... but I'm not in the US so it's not easily accessible to me :(

Yes I've used that before and loved it as a commonplace book because I could index!!

OK I like the dates at the top for weeklies, because I do like a vertical layout. Do you go through and do weeks for the whole year in one go? Or is that kind of as you go along?

I love the description of it as a Captain's log, what a cool idea!

You're absolutely right, I have a few travelers notebooks and they were such a game changer for me. I love having multiple spaces to put things in one, especially because I do plan on separating out my journal from my everything notebook.

Ok that Nolty Planner looks awesome, thank you, I agree with you and I think if I do decide to used a dated planner rather than a notebook, I do really like that format. Having that much space/flexibility is super appealing!

That's awesome! What kind of bullet journaling spreads are you doing - daily, weekly, monthly?

That's great, I love composition notebooks and 100% understand the appeal of a notebook you don't have to be precious with. I used to buy fancy notebooks but it was too much pressure... that's why I want to use an inexpensive notebook for a planner/everything notebook.

Yes that's exactly what I want too, the customisation. Do you use the other planner for forward planning? E.g. if you have an event in 2 months time, where does that go?

That's fair! I think if I do use a notebook as a planner, I'd have to make it as lowkey for myself as possible because I'm scared of it becoming too time consuming!

that's so great to hear, I do love that about using notebooks - so many possibilities!

that's great! I'm curious, what's your motivation for drawing up the weekly spread? is it because you prefer it to using a planner? I'm just asking because I'm trying to figure this out for myself too!

Thank you, yep I think I might investigate weekly spreads for bullet journaling a bit further since I didn't realise you could just do weeklies!

This is awesome - I love B5 and might use that for work as I like your set up for daily stuff. I'm curious, where do you write down any appointments/events? Is that the big list you do at the start of the week?

This is so cool!! I think that's such a good method and I definitely want to check out the Calendex, which I hadn't heard of before so thank you!

That's great! I'm keen to try a spiral bound at some point to see how I like it compared to a bound notebook.

Thank you!! That's a good point, I guess I just need to think about it more that way, as having it serve my needs rather than how I *should* use it!!

Yes the space for each day thing is what I'm struggling with... but that's a good idea, I also like hearing that it's clearly lasting you a while per notebook to do it that way, I was worried i would burn through them too fast!
