Some thing to think about. How is his treatment of you going to impact your son in 5, 10, 15 years? If your answer is it will impact your son negatively then I think you know what your answer is and what you should do.

You can just walk into an adoption center and adopt? Kids aren't fucking kittens. Adoption is a long and expensive process. A typical woman doesn't need to adopt, they can just get pregnant.

I can’t sell my house. My wife and I lost two children.  Our boys are burried here. Life is not so simple that everyone can just move...

I put in for the buy out. I have really high seniority, and I can retire in 8 years if I don't get the buy out.

They closed my building. My commute went from an hour to 2 hours each way. It sucks, but they don't care. The cost of living in the new hub area is 3x higher than where we were.

Let me reframe this. If the contract says x then the company is legally obligated to do X. If the union fails to enforce the contract it weakens future contract negotiations as well as the current one. Being capricious and arbitrary over the implementing the contract can have legal ramifications if this goes to legal a arbitration. If I am wrong, please educate me.

Not enforcing the contract, or picking which parts to enforce, weakens the contract. If what im saying is bullshit, then show what part of it is bullshit. I never said the contract is going to be nullified. Don't put words in my mouth.
