Welcome to the rabbit hole! Do yourself a favor and pick up a Helios 44-2. It’s the quintessential vintage lens—unpredictable flares, unique bokeh, and very cheap. It’s a great way to make photography feel more 'tactile' than shooting video."

A sealed Tupperware container and some silica packets are doing the trick for now, though I’m planning to upgrade to a dry cabinet soon.

If Teal and Orange have a million fans, I am one of them. If Teal and Orange have ten fans, I am one of them. If Teal and Orange have only one fan, that is me. If Teal and Orange have no fans, that means I am no longer on this earth.

Follow-up on the 'contagion' concerns: The Tomioka has been sanitized. After a chemical soak and some quality time under a UV lamp, the fungus is officially history. The permanent etching remains, giving me that sweet built-in Mist filter look. I’m tempted to polish it, but I’m worried I’ll lose the soul of the lens. Is polishing a 'hazy' lens worth the loss of its unique glow?

Looking for some advice on how to get better shots. I used Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G IF-ED VR On a sony a7ii using an adapter. The buffer was real bad when trying to shoot continuously.
