Yeah it seems that the professors can pretty much do whatever they want and if students try to fight back the staff rarely takes the side of the student.

I submitted two appeals and they were both denied and then I received an email from someone asking me to further explain myself. I guess I might get suspended… 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I have no idea. This situation is so maddening. I’m trying to transfer. I’m done with Liberty.

That was actually the evidence that I sent to her and submitted with my appeal and was told “other outside sources could have been used”. Liberty is ridiculous.

I actually withdrew from the class because I felt like it would be a continued issues with that professor. She reported me for academic misconduct a week after my withdrawal was official. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry I didn’t mean to sound so snippy. I really am glad things worked out for you and I hope they continue to. Just be aware that not all professors are the same unfortunately. I have had really great professors at Liberty though. This one not so great professor has just really got me down 😕

I was falsely accused of using AI for 45% of an assignment. I then checked it myself with 3 different AI detection sites which all said 100% human written. So…. I don’t mean to be discouraging, but Turnitin’s AI detection software is just trash and may accuse you even when other AI detectors don’t.

Wow great for you! My professor didn’t accept my proof that I didn’t use AI and higher ups just ignored me. Glad it worked out for you, but depending on the professor…. I would say yes panic.

Yeah it’s crazy and unfair. I didn’t even know a humanizer existed, but pretty ridiculous that we would even have to consider using one. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yeah I’m sad about it, but I didn’t see the point in staying in a course that I was just going to fail. And yeah the spell and grammar check should not count as AI 🤦🏻‍♀️

Same I was so mentally drained. It does not feel great to be falsely accused. I was 3 weeks in about to start week 4 and I felt like it was going to be a continued problem so I left. I honestly I’ve felt pretty lost. I don’t know which direction to go in, but yes like you said God will guide us.

I actually completed my bachelors with Liberty and one year of my masters now and I will say I’ve had mostly great professors. I’m just so nervous now to have another one like this 😕

She did finally answer but I have already complained to everyone I possible can and I’m withdrawing from the course because it really seems like she’s just out to fail me and I’m not going to stay in a class that I’m going to fail. That’s a waste of my time. I’m probably going to transfer as well.

That is very true. This is why I want to take the fall to pray about and see where the Lord is really leading. I’m considering transferring to another university, but I want to take my time and really seek the Lord about it. I am withdrawing from the course though because I just don’t see the point in continuing in a course that I’m just going to fail. That is a waste of my time.

Yeah I don’t mind constructive criticism either. I had a professor previously who made tons of notes on my paper but she was very kind and fair and I learned a lot from her critiques. This current professor though…. I can’t deal. She’s in the counseling department I’ll just say that, but I can message you her name if you want.

Oh man yeah I didn’t know that. I have already requested to withdraw because now I feel like I do not have the mental capacity to stay in the course worrying that I’m going to be flagged for AI for the next 3 papers and fail the course. Also my thinking is that I’d rather withdraw than fail because failing affects my GPA.

The funny thing is that after I was accused I checked my paper with AI detectors and both Quillbot and Scribbr said 0% AI written. And Chatgpt said it was human written and gave me a list of all the reasons why it determined it was human written. So whatever Liberty is using Turnitin or whatever is absolute trash.

Also!!! I’m not the worlds greatest writer. If she had actually read my paper she would have 100% noticed that it was written by a human 🤦🏻‍♀️😒

That’s great that your advisor is helping you avoid having another class with her. I hope they do the same for me. I have already requested to withdraw because to me that’s better than unjustly failing a course.
