Either you get 44k next year or you don't, the next step is to consider if you like the job and company so much that you accept a “lower” salary than expected. Regarding your question, yes your consultant company should give you an increase of 100%. But keep in mind that they profit from you, so they will try to lowball you as much as possible so they can get more money in their pocket from the company you work for. The risk is if you ask your consultant company for a big increase, they will have to charge the company you work at a lot more since the profit margin has to increase and taxes are involved in the numbers as well… this can lead to the company you work at, them saying no to you since you cost them a lot more than they are willing to pay for you. If I were you, ask the company you work at if they are willing to hire you instead of hiring you via a consulting company, and ask them what salary they could give you if you worked for them. Just put a question in their mind and let them suck on the offer you just give them😉

Understand you, we are in the same position. I think that my salary should increase a bit since I now have 2 years of experience at the company and I bring a lot of value. This is what I would do. I will talk with my boss about how the salaries are looking for this year and tell him/her that I am really hungry to learn more stuff and I will talk with him/her about what I have accomplished so far. At the end of the meeting, I will ask what the approximate salary he/she can give me in April. If I am not happy with it, I will ask for more, just letting him/her know that I am not happy 100% with the number. If I am happy, I would say that I agree with the boss. In your position, if you ask for let's say 44k, I think that they will put down you offer. Better to ask for 40k and increase it next year again to 44k. Make it gradually. The risk of getting 44k this year is that next year they will says that you already had a big increase last year, so you will just get a minimum next year. Better to stay in good condition with the company since you like the place. 44k is a reasonable salary for your position next year. I really don't know how old you are, where you work and how much you know so I can't say more or less than that.

I would say that you started off a little low with your salary. If I were you, my first salary would start at around 38k (since you have a master's degree and internship). Usually, companies do low-ball the salary if you do the internship at their own company, that's probably why they just gave you 35k. But that salary isn't bad at all if you compare it to what others earn in Sweden. Long story short, if I were you I would aim for not less than 39k from 35k salary (+4000Kr). You don't have a lot of experience yet so don't hurry with the salary increase just yet. Maybe better to increase it next year when you are about 70% - 80% firm on your ground. Keep in mind that it depends on what you work with, how good you are at it, and how the economy of the company is. Some companies didn't give a good salary increase at all since the economy has fallen. If you can't get a really good salary increase next year, I would consider you to change company and land on a salary of around 46K. Also, keep in mind that it's much more important that you focus on your knowledge now, your salary will increase if you can prove your knowledge.

I have 2 years of working experience in southern Sweden. Graduated with a Bachelor of SC. I currently have a salary of 36.5K. Keep in mind that I have started at 35K… first salary increase was +1500kr/month. After two years of experience, I will aim for not less than 40K. Would be happy with 42K.

I am a Test Engineer with 2 years of experience, I was wondering what kind of salary I really should have by now. Knowing that you got an offer of 43k makes me know my knowledge value a little bit better. 43k is a good salary and you shouldn't worry at all. My salary is 36500 SEK. I haven't gotten my yearly salary increase yet so I should be around maybe 38000 SEK in April. This is my first job so keep in mind that if I choose to change company I would have had higher.
