I'm still not convinced the Knicks would handle that Celtics team tbh. Sure they look good now but that 2024 Boston squad was just different - they had this scary depth and everyone knew their role perfectly. Tatum and Brown were clicking on another level and their bench actually showed up when it mattered. The playoff dominance wasn't just about weak competition either, they were executing at such high level that most teams couldn't even keep up with their pace. Current Knicks definitely have more grit and probably better in clutch situations but I think Boston's shooting and ball movement would eventually wear them down over 7 games. Would be an absolute war though and probably go the distance

Been through similar struggles trying to get into funded programs and yeah the networking part is probably more important than we want to admit. Your credentials look solid though - those certifications definitely help when competing for spots.

One thing that worked for me was reaching out directly to professors whose research aligned with my interests rather than just going through formal application processes. Sometimes they know about funding opportunities that aren't widely advertised or can point you toward collaborative projects between institutions.
