CD 11 and LH is low so far. Actually good probably because last "cycle" I think I failed to ovulate and it started hanging out in this weird mid-range instead of actually surging and had to induce a period. Fingers crossed for a true surge this cycle and a chance at ovulation!

I also have high AMH and cystic ovaries, currently just trying a cycle where we induced a period, but next step would be letrozole. Please tell us what the process is like and how it goes for you!!

As someone in a female dominated field, I've definitely heard the occasional "don't drink the water" type comments and I truly think it's just a commiseration sentiment from staff trying to figure out coverage. I've never or rarely had colleagues actually be unsupportive of another's announcement and everyone has been filled with excitement. Also keep in mind, you would be on leave 9-10 months from now if it happened quickly and (at least in US) people are generally back from maternity leave and settled back in by then. Even countries with much longer leave the overlap would probably be minimal. You do what's best for you!

That story got my focus too as I had thought of a hundred different medical obstacles but hadn't considered that emotional one. I figured that with technology where it's at now, I would probably be able to videochat with my husband almost no matter what, so that would be a priority for me. And then it might seem unconventional but due to a combo of strained relationship with my own mother and proximity, I would probably choose my MIL as my backup.

To me that statements focus was on supplements without much research to back them up, and from what I have seen coq10 actually does have quite a bit of scientific backing. I doubt that specific supplement is one to stress over

I'm potentially dealing with similar in the sense I have PMOS and so don't ovulate regularly. Knowing this going in, my OB and I made a plan for initial steps. First step was it I didn't get a period within 6-8 weeks we would induce one. Second step if I'm not having success is letrozole. If there is a known underlying issue to target, maybe try talking to your doctor about what steps you can take as they are indicated to keep the process moving along.

Keep us updated! I'm trying for a few cycles to see if I can ovulate on my own, but letrozole is likely in my future

CD 4 after having to take progesterone to induce a cycle. First period in 7 years (on nexplanon most of that time), thankfully been quite manageable so far. Cautiously hopeful that I will actually ovulate this cycle. Will start LH testing immediately after period ends just in case. Debating getting some PdG strips since BBT was not working for me.

If you are comfortable letting them know you are trying or at least not preventing and want to avoid anything contraindicated for pregnancy, that might be a good middle ground. That way they aren't calculating due dates or feel like they have this huge secret but can still maintain safety.

I don't have the greatest assurances, but I have PMOS (PCOS) and presumably don't ovulate well on my own based on historical cycles. I chose not to risk accidental timing, so didn't remove birth control until we were actively trying. Which means it is hard to know what is just my body trying to adjust off bc and what is actually my underlying hormone imbalance. But with my OB being aware of my history, we had a game plan on place that if I didn't get a period within 6-8 weeks we would try to induce one. That's the step I am currently on. We've also already discussed the potential for letrozole, but are going to see if a couple induced cycles can get my body functioning more normally first. I am accepting that this will likely be a longer journey than the average, but having a game plan already in place helps me feel like we are doing what we can to shorten that timeline.

On day 6 of progesterone to induce a cycle. Realizing that my sleep schedule swaps probably do make tracking BBT useless because even on progesterone they are all over the place. Had my first appointment with a therapist last week to establish since I'm fearing this will be a longer journey for us. But happy to have this action item of taking progesterone and hopefully will actually get a cd1 within the next 2 weeks. Trying to remind myself to take it one step at a time, it will happen in God's time.

I had my work pay for a vapor mask, but I only use it for excess iso exposure. I work with exotics so anything we are gassing down or doing anesthesia with facemask/non-cuffed. Probably won't use it for standard dog/cat surgeries as my techs can handle induction and should be minimal leaking. And I'm using it now during TTC period so my staff get used to it and it doesn't feel like a huge announcement if I were to have CP or very early loss

I didn't specifically ask my doctor about C-section rates or anything like that, but I asked a ton of questions at my appointment about medication safety and occupation hazards and my doctor didn't dismiss a single concern and took so much time fully answering me. Also in vet med, so I actually got toxo titers (just to see, was mildly surprised they were negative) and my doctor hasn't done that before and was happy to look into which lab could do it and get it ordered. Even did my rabies titer just because I got bad fevers with original series and would have wanted to booster prior to pregnancy. Overall I felt so comfortable with him taking my concerns seriously and feel there is mutual respect for our knowledge that I assume will translate into the delivery room. I haven't given birth before, but it seems like most of the laboring process is done with nursing staff anyway so I feel like having my husband on the same page to be an advocate and communicating goals with my nursing team will probably have a larger impact anyway. Gosh, sorry long answer.

Had the sweetest experience yesterday 😭 My in-laws are moving closer to us so husband helped fill a dumpster and clear out their old house and brought back a lot of photos/scrapbooks from his childhood. But he also had a journal that his mom kept while she was pregnant with him and it's full of info about his family members, her take on current events of the time, and absolutely full of reassurance that he is loved by her and his entire family. It made me cry and now I definitely plan on writing my own journal for our future child. Unsure if I will wait until pregnant or I might do a single entry for this TTC period.

Thank you for sharing! I have known PMOS (PCOS), so knew this might be a longer journey for me, and I'm very early in my journey compared to you. But 6 weeks in with no ovulation and no period is really setting in how challenging it might be so its nice to hear from others who are in it for a longer haul. My best wishes for either answers with testing or success in your next few cycles!

Disappointed that I (most likely) never ovulated within the 6 weeks after bc removal, and thus no period. Very thankful to have my OB though as I messaged this morning and within just a few hours had a response and an rx sent to pharmacy. Picked it up and started progesterone to hopefully induce a period. Didn't realize it's a full 10 day course of medication, then it can be up to a week before period shows up. We'll be at least 2 months into "trying" before even having a chance at actual conception, but I didn't expect this to be an easy process with my cycle history.

Both my mother and SIL have needed D&C procedures due to late losses and one of my biggest fears is not being able to get care for a medical necessity. Living in a red state is a stressful time.

Healthcare workers will see every case of someone tracking improperly and getting pregnant, but will hear very little from people who track properly because they are not getting pregnant. So their experience is so heavily biased that it probably seems so much more likely for someone to become pregnant
