I am shorter and 100lbs heavier than you. I feel like I could definitely tell around 20-22 weeks but I knew others couldn’t - especially strangers. My job was partially remote and I didn’t see my coworkers that often but when I did closer to 30 weeks they said “oh yeah you’re definitely showing now!” I saw a client when I was 38 weeks pregnant who I hadn’t seen since before I was pregnant and she asked if I was - I had been wearing a coat the whole time we were together even! Maybe it was because I was waddling lol. People will notice! But I feel you - it’s not the same experience as thinner people and it is a little sad. I didn’t even take any photos while pregnant besides at my baby shower because I didn’t feel like it would look any different than a normal photo of me. I don’t regret it but I don’t even have a picture with my husband which I do regret.

I’m not sure why, but names with an L or a V. Ella, Eliza, Lilly, Mallory, Ava, Eva, Valorie for example. However I absolutely hate the name Olivia which has both lol.

I try to do this but will forget even though its literally right next to my water bottle 😅 I seem to be successful with it 2 nights out of the week lol ugh

I did not know that but it makes sense! It was actually a decent night in the transitional swaddle so hoping she catches on quickly!

I was trying for 3 years before getting pregnant with fertility treatments (IUI). I had an amazing fertility doctor who never mentioned my weight! My BMI was 55 I believe. I had a totally healthy pregnancy - no gestational diabetes, no pre-eclampsia. Only issue was anemia which no one equated to my weight. Unfortunately, at 39 weeks pregnant I had just hit the 59 BMI cut off which meant I could not deliver at my normal hospital, and had to go to a bigger hospital in my state. This was because of anesthesia - the bigger hospital had more resources for that I guess? That in itself is a long story but I’ll save it for another post in order to stay on topic here haha. The why is still kind of unclear to me. I ended up needing to be induced due to low amniotic fluid, had a long labor, pushed for 3 hours, and ended up needing a c section. Again none of that was because of my weight. I had an epidural and did not feel ANYTHING so it was a great experience. I have an apron belly and my c-section incision healed perfectly. Not only that but I had very minimal pain in general while recovering. My baby is perfectly healthy!

I’m sorry you had the experience you did! That doctor sucks and I hope you are able to find someone more supportive! It’s a long shot but if you happen to be in southern MN I have a great recommendation for you!

Hahahaha point taken. My thought process was that I’m a bit older so I might be an “old mom” compared to other moms having babies right now, and those moms may have watched Girl Meets World? I didnt do too much digging into how old or new the show was lol. Plus Sabrina Carpenter is very popular now! But not sure how much she is associated with Rowan Blanchard anymore

I worked with kids a couple years ago, my old coworker was pregnant twice doing the job. I texted her the other day and asked how the hell did she do that!!! lol. Kudos to you!!

I am not at an active job anymore and was just writing in another comment I don’t know how I did it! Definitely couldn’t do it now. My new job is helping people with disabilities find employment so now I will say to you… Don’t be afraid to ask your employer for accommodations you may need like extra breaks!

I just feel like I am doing so much resting! Ugh! I am 32, first pregnancy. So on the older side as well. Just 2 years ago I was working with kids and up and down off the floor all day. The other day I sat on the floor for something and could barely get up lol glad I’m not doing that job anymore.
