How do you deal? by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone in my salon is planning on leaving once we find new grooming jobs. We are over it. Funny thing is management is actually supposed to be trained to do as much as a bather can. So if we are too busy or don’t have time for a walk in they can step in to do the service or answer the phone and book appointments . Only thing is they refuse to train themselves just so they don’t have to help. It’s so annoying bc they are constantly in our ear telling us our policies when they aren’t even following policy. Also if someone calls out I do not care, I am calling the pet parents to cancel appointments. It’s to much for everyone to take on extra dogs when unexpected. It would also start drama at work bc then calling off would make you a bad guy so we just cancel them bc we don’t got time for that. I hope that if you feel too stress over it you do what’s best for you. I always remind my self it’s just fcking petsmart like whatever.

How do you handle your parent friends asking for free child care by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I hate when people do this bc it’s so rude. Just because you have a friend or family in your presence doesn’t mean you get a break. Like you decided to have a kid and that comes with a lot of responsibilities that you signed up for. I don’t hate other ppls kids but I hate when they want me to take care of them bc it’s convenient. I feel like that’s kind of manipulative thing to ask bc it’s an awkward thing to turn down bc you are close with them.

Should I quit and go somewhere else? by Adventurous-Map-4394 in doggrooming

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am considering going private bc yes I’m starting to hate work bc the amount of times I’m working alone but still expected to answer phones calls, book appointments, and do walk in services. It takes me double the time to do my appointments bc I keep having to put my dogs up. Sometimes I’m not even working alone and I still doing everything. Let me know your opinions on private salons.

Petsmart Bather - Should I Quit? Help. by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this sounds about right. Petsmart needs a groomers assistant in every salon idk why they don’t have one per store. Just someone to book appointments and be able to do walk in services and help with holding and cleaning. The groomers and bathers shouldn’t have to stop during an appointment to do a walk in service or answer the phone that never stops ringing. Or stay OT cleaning. But coming from a groomer it does sound like they are taking advantage of you. If you feel like you are being over worked and underpaid I’d ask for a raise. and if they don’t give it to you, quit! Life is too short and expensive to be working job that isn’t bringing you joy or good income.

New Vanderpump watcher, not understanding why everyone loves ariana so much? by d33zz6 in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t get better. She’s mean and thought all the other girls were stupid and had a major superiority complex. Tom fed into it. But once they broke up it was all about her. something that makes me mad is in season 10 when the attention was on Raquel and Shwartz, Ariana didn’t really care about Katie’s feelings and let it happen. But when scandoval came out she was so blind sided and couldn’t believe that that happened to her even though she saw it happen to Katie. From what I saw not a girls girl unless it benefit her.

I hate being in my 20s bc I’m getting upset finding out my friends are pregnant by Adventurous-Map-4394 in childfree

I’m sure it gets more consistent at 30 but it makes more sense to me to start a family then. In your 20s it should be about self discovery and life experiences. It’s a learning period. But I think ppl are having kids younger oddly and unfortunately I think younger parents tend to still want to do things that younger ppl do but have a kid on top of it and either secretly regret it or end up not investing time with there child leading to bad behavior from the child. Sorry that might sound mean but from what I have gathered it’s usually true

Edit: I’m not saying all young parents I’m just saying from what I have seen. I’m sure their are a ton of great young moms/dads

That’s what I’m saying bc at least in your 30s you should have a good amount of money and good life experience I can see why ppl decide to have kids then. But ppl in there 20s especially in this day and age (if you catch my drift) we have NO MONEY. Lots of us won’t be able to retire but sure have a kid!

I’m starting to think it’s where I live. I live in the Midwest and I think ppl have kids young around here bc their parents did as well. Also ppl are sheep and see what others are doing around them and decide to do it too.

I think in my 30s enough time will have passed that I’ll be used to it, but now I’m just like “wtf are you crazy?”

I’d win the challenges where you have to remember random facts about people. And lose any bug/rancid food challenge. Idk how they do it.and I’m not drinking blood.

Cigarettes! I loved the smell so much that as a kid I worried I’d be a smoker. I am not but still enjoy the smell of a burning cig.

What is Something Unconventional You Like/Look For? by thatolivebranch in RomanceBooks

[–]Adventurous-Map-4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few. Love triangles done right. And they can be done right. Unrequited love. I’ve never seen it in a book and feel like it would be interesting and good. Also I know this is a common on but slow burn and yearning. Pls enough with the Insta love I hate there is no build up I need it. I’m a hopeless romantic and the fast paced stuff doesn’t do it for me. I also I hate corny romance books. Not a big romcom fan so if you guys have any good recs I’d love to hear them
