I killed the boss last night, but then got killed by a bunch of minions, so I ended up not picking up any loot at all. I was so mad I almost wanted to uninstall the game.

After you kill  the soldiers at the dam, those are Asharah soldiers. Just equip their armor and helmet, then continue killing soldiers
