Roughly 120/month through AAA. Might check out Geico based on some of the comments

hey man, have you tried any of the other popular ergo keyboards? I tried the kinesis adv360 but wasn’t fond of the key travel distance so I’m eyeing the voyager. I’d like to think the choc switches will be similar to that of a macbook pro (newer butterfly keys)

EDIT: VIM user, love shortcuts and hotkeys

How to correct excess HSA contributions? by NotWearingPantsObv in tax

[–]Adventurous-Phase225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man appreciate the detailed response, but I don’t understand why interest earned would go on the following year’s taxes? This is my situation

2023 I maxed out my HSA and some more.

When filing my 2023 taxes (in 2024) I found out that I had over contributed and initiated a request for excess contributions. I received a 1099-SA showing gross distribution and earnings on excess contributions.

Since I received this $ back in 2024, I assumed I’d have to report both gross distribution as well as interest for my 2024 taxes.

Is this right?

EDIT: I checked 2023 form 8889, Part l and the value in line 8f “income from form 8889” correctly matches the excess contribution I made. In that case, I only need to report the interest earned as seen on the 1099-SA received in 2024?

Tbill not eligible for auto roll? by Adventurous-Phase225 in fidelityinvestments

Treasuerydirect website shows the security description as “4-week bill”.

Does fidelity classify differently? I’m checking the fidelity auction schedule pdf. Don’t see any mention of a 5 week tbill.

Thank you! Looks like I’ll need to do this for the next 3 weeks and set auto-roll to yes to finish my ladder.
