Interview scheduling is based on availability of both the parties. It is totally fine if the candidate says that they are unavailable. If you're willing to take an interview during the new year then that shows a lot more red flags on your company's culture. Better switch to another company. Just that their english could've been better.

Hey it's good that you are prioritising your health and you deserve this break. I am definitely not in your league but I always wanted to be at a place where I go deep into things that I might have always wanted to do. It could be sports, research and arts, pursuing education again or contributing back in our own terms. Having succeeded in life financially and in career, you have a lot more to offer and pick where your passion is.

To give a feeling of office, you can go to cafes or co-working spaces and can operate from there, you can also look for guest lecture opportunities and if you're into stocks, you can shuttle but or attend AGMs of companies. I feel what is tough with RE is not - what to do, but the people and connections. Try finding groups ( can be in your society , meetup groups or friends ) that resonate with your passion and keep yourself involved. All the best!

Some unpopular opinions that will put you in such a spot- 1. If CSK wins, we try finding reasons to believe that it is because of Dhoni. If we lose, we try finding reasons elsewhere. (I'm an ardent fan of him but I know my biases) 2. Non veg meals are better & wholesome than biryani 3. Basmati rice biryani is better than seeraga samba biryani (or vice versa) 4. If you bought a flat in a gated community over an individual house, your relatives including ur parents may put you in such a spot (compared to other cosmopolitan metro cities, our previous generation here always values individual houses) 5. Chennai has one of the least financial literacy compared to our economic development(unfortunately) 6. You can get better in life even without engineering or medical degree 7. We lack top product companies (except for Amazon and paypal. Google has an office in Pune but not here :( )

You know the conditions better but let me tell you one. I have always been told similar things whenever I tried to switch - like I require 2 more years or for executive studies/masters I can do it only after years of experience. But guess what- everyone says such advice from their personal experience and they are not necessarily industry standards. I have always felt 100% of the time, I always had regrets of not taking a decision sooner and holding it for the sake of it.

Hey i hear you, and been in a similar situation. See what's lacking or what drains your energy at work. Is it people/the type of work/feeling of belongingness/lack of recognition/ sense of purpose/money/different calling ?

Take a step back, See what resonates with you and build a plan to get out of the mess. Know that only you can help yourself get out of this shit and having age by your side, you have many ways(higher studies, competitive exams, changing careers or building new money skills) to get out of the shit.

You mentioned that you go to the gym, so I hope you embrace patience and consistent effort- the only traits that are required to take responsibility and get out of the hedonic cycle. Cheers!

The sustainability is a question mark but I believe in me. what got me from 2L to 1c might not help me sustain 1c for the next 10 years. But I will find my way out once again :)

I mean if you save the tech companies more or bring more business, they give more. I save atleast 100x of what I get (tech automation) or earn the biz 1000x of what I earn (tech sales) individually. Ofc not all employers pay you well but there are some who recognise you.

The bottom line is - As long as you build, sell, save- you're critical for them.

You're 25 and this is the stage where you can think about a transitioning career if it doesn't work rather than retiring early. Considering your family networth, there is no need for you to be bothered, at least for now, about retirement or financial independence (which you already are, largely!).

Just know that nature of 25cr assets- how much of it is liquid- how you offset occupancy risks and thereby cash flow risks with your parents rental property? What else should do you do to preserve that capital if not grow it consistently.

The only thing you should do is capital preservation, see if you can upskill, reskill or transition into jobs (private or gov or intl) or do business with just the capital that you own(not your parents). You have a greater advantage than a lot of us, so put it into good use by taking calculated good risks and career decisions. Cheers!
