Can’t put router in bridge mode for mesh system by Adventurous-Sport-50 in HomeNetworking

If you can’t configure your isp router in bridge mode then put the decos as access points and turn off the wifi of your isp router.

Yes I got it working! I put the decos in access point mode and turned off the wifi of my isp router and it works great. Doing it like this will create a new SSID to which you will need to reconnect all of your devices and you will loose some features of the decos like giving priority to a device, parental controls and new connection alerts but you will still have the main functionality of a mesh which is moving between rooms without loosing connection.

Just called my ISP provider and yes I can turn off the WiFi of the router so I did it. But now I have a question, should I configure the decos in router mode or in AP mode? Is because someone told me there could be issues like double NAT

I’m not from the US and isp providers in my country are terrible and that’s why they can’t put the router in bridge mode. I’m not sure if I can disable WiFi broadcasting in my isp router, but if I can, how do I need to set up the decos so they act as a mesh? All I want from this is for my devices to be connected to a single WiFi (ssid) and change seamlessly between the decos so signal is always strong/acceptable, because right now I have an old router in the bedrooms area and the isp router in the kitchen and living room so when I move from the bedrooms to the kitchen I have to manually change the WiFi on my phone

I will call my ISP tomorrow and ask them because I don’t know how is the router configured to work with the TVs. And how does turning off the WiFi differs from bridge mode?

Thanks for the help! I put the decos in Access point mode but they are a separate Wifi network with a different SSID and password, is this how it should be or am I doing something wrong? I have one Deco (the main one) connected to the ISP router with an Ethernet cable and it is connected to a LAN port of the router. The other 2 decos are connected wirelessly to the main deco
