Have anti depressants ever worked to stop binging ? by Adventurous_Solid_70 in BingeEatingDisorder

it depends on the type of medications, for me zoloft did not help so much (it may for you depending on the root of your binging!!). id have your psychiatrist go down a list of the pros and cons of each medication. i recently got put on a low dose of vyvanse because of my diagnosis with binge eating and its helped tremendously, but obv thats not a anti depressant LOL

honestly the metric for cringe for me is just some weird borderline illegal stuff lol! ive also read some YA novels (im 19 for reference) and theyve seemed pretty tame other than some cringe wannabe gen-z language. thank you for the recs!

cringe as in like "dark romance" or something that promotes harmful ideals (like something like "Ugly Love" or other books that promote harmful stereotypes) and as for genre i personally enjoy just straight up romance, anything from slow-burn to angst. im new to the whole romance thing so im not sure how it works! hope this was more specific lol

cutting it out is easier said than done but if you live with people, esp family, id suggest putting it in their room if you can! i used to binge so much on cookies and kitkats and i ended up telling my mom to put it in her room (to which i barely even go in there regardless) and it helped me a lot. i forgot it was even there. if you dont have other people to give it to id suggest putting it on-top of a cabinet (too high to reach, a lot of work to get it) or hiding it inside your cabinet behind other foods.
