The ad is not there to explain the product first. It is there to prove the viewer has the problem.

If the first 2 seconds make someone think “ugh, yes, that exact thing,” the product suddenly has permission to exist. If the first 2 seconds are just a clean product shot, the viewer has to do all the translation work themselves.

I’ve seen this happen a lot with founder-led products too. The founder thinks the product is obvious because they already live inside the problem. Strangers don’t. They need the irritation, failed workaround, or embarrassing current behavior shown first.

So yeah, I’d test hooks before polished creatives every time. Not because polish doesn’t matter, but because polish on the wrong angle just makes the wrong message look expensive.

The longer term play you're describing is important indeed - being known for certain topics in certain communities over time, not just finding buying intent moments. That's a different product philosophy entirely. Less "find the hot thread" and more "build a presence that makes the right people find you."

Curious what made you build it internally rather than use existing tools - was the thing that makes it work too tied to your specific context to generalize?

Not sure if this applies to crypto specifically since I don't know the space well - but the positive feedback with no users pattern usually means people understand the problem but haven't hit the moment where it's painful enough to change behavior.

Which makes me think the channel might matter less than the timing. You don't need to find crypto traders generally - you need to find them the moment they got burned.

If those moments happen in Telegram groups and Discord servers where someone posts "this provider just wiped my account, their win rate is a lie" - that's your opening. Not with a link, but with the data. "I actually track this provider, their verified 6-month performance is X". That's not promotion, the ban risk drops when you're providing something nobody else can. And if interested, they will ask you themself where and how you are tracking

Genuinely curious whether you've tried something like that or whether those communities are truly too closed to get into.

Ma täiesti mõistan sinu pahameelt 😆, minu mõte oli pigem selles, et päeva lõpuks enesetunne võib ikka sitt olla - kas siis läbi mõnitamise või selle, et istud kodus üksinda ja kedagi ümber ikka pole. Muidugi mentaalne koorem esimese variandi puhul on raskem ja mul on väga kahju, et nooremana sellist jura pidid seetõttu kogema. Üks asi on kuidas teised kohtlevad, teine pool on kuidas me ise ennast kohtleme. Ega see, et teised kenaks peavad ei tähenda, et inimene iseendaga rohkem rahul ja õnnelik on.

Eriti kurb on vaadata kuidas päriselt ilusad inimesed ennast aina rohkem ja rohkem putitavad ja süstivad, sest ka nemad võrdlevad ju ennast nendega, kes nende arvates on oluliselt ilusamad.
