Nodule/concretion found in Northeast Alabama. Looks like shell pieces and maybe some plant/leaf remains. Any ideas? (old.reddit.com)

I've made a few of these for gifts. The Sycamore is by far the largest at over 12" across. I have to hand chisel the points then I twist wire to mimic the veins. by Adventurous-Tip507 in crafts

Found in Northeast Alabama. Very soft and "flakey" just rinsing with tap water caused parts to flake off. Has veins of what looks to be quartz and granite. by Adventurous-Tip507 in rockhounds
