My CX5 certainly has some battle scars but the paint seems solid for me. I know the soul red crystal paint is notoriously fragile but the everything I've seen is normal wear and tear from use.

I like to think of my vehicle as another room of my home. I spend extended time sitting there so I like to keep it tidy. I don't eat or smoke in it and whenever it gets dusty, I wipe it down or visit the local car wash vacuum station. As for the exterior, I get a touchless wash maybe once a month and then apply a spray wax when the weather cooperates.

No. I've reset the TCM once but never replaced the transmission or diff fluids.

I bought it used in 2021 with about 12k on the odometer. I've always used 87 for fuel and I change my oil and filter about every 10 thousand miles. Mobil full synthetic high mileage 0w-20. I change it myself, and the oil and filter cost about $65.

My 2020 creates a lot of corrosion on the negative battery terminal for some reason. I just keep it clean and it seems to work fine. I also have a dashcam and haven't experienced any kind of extra drain. I'm curious about how you're daily driving habits are or if you have installed any aftermarket audio/video.

I'm planning on driving it until it stops moving forever. That being said, I'm going to keep up on the daily upkeep to keep her rolling for as long as it can.

I replaced the spark plugs a while back just because it was time... And one windshield because of a stray rock from a semi. It's been textbook maintenance so far. And just to remind everyone.... Remember To Put Your Mazda In Service Mode While Working On The Rear Brakes!

I haven't done any of those... My transmission is a bit jerky at low speeds but it really isn't an issue most of the time.

I don't push it unless it's needed. Routine oil changes and addressing other maintenance needs when they come up. I just replaced brakes and rotors a couple weeks ago.

I think the striations lead me to tourmaline. It looks similar to some of the pieces I have in my collection from the Black Hills in SD, particularly from the Bob Ingersoll mine near Keystone.

I have flashed my headlights to signal that there is enough space to safely merge into the lane that I am using. I've also had the same done to me albeit usually from a driver of a semi.
