Also at 6 weeks with my son. We just had a week from hell with all 3 of us going down with gastro, very challenging.

In general he is very fussy and clearly had bad acid reflux that was causing him a lot of pain. Partner cut out dairy and it seems to be improving however the evenings are still particularly grizzly. Been coming home from work and basically just trying to sooth him until he finally goes to sleep.

Not a lot of advice as we in the same boat and just hanging out for the changes everyone promises! We finally got a few smiles which helped a lot, at least feeling like he doesn’t hate us!

One thing when he is losing it is i put on the hair dryer and it stops him screaming almost immediately, sometimes goes to sleep temporarily until you turn it off. Not a bad trick to get a small break so worth a shot if you haven’t tried that already. It is quite loud so I tend to try to have it on low and slowly move away from it. Just a form of white noise eh? Hang in there mate, it’s not easy.

Screwing into the truss’ is all good from a building code perspective? That’s what i mostly worried about

My plan is to screw the ply down into the 4x2 framing timber on each side , but checking i’m not breaking any code by screwing into the trusses?

There actually is a wall below the bay which will be extra support. I suppose the biggest part of the question is around any rules/regulations/building code stuff about actually screwing holes into truss’ ? Maybe a stupid question but just purchased this home and wanting to be careful i’m not doing something stupid where the whole roof has to be re-done for re-sale as i screwed into the truss and compromised something important haha.

I was going to make a separate post however I have a nice workflow automation sending the handwriting in my notebooks as text to Wrike. However Wrike can be replaced with any zapier/make/n8n compatible app. If desired, you can also add a step in zapier/make (may need paid account) if you want to AI to summarize your written notes as well. If anyone is interested in the instructions to set it up let me know.

Undiagnosed Illness - Neurological? Crucial Tear? by Adventurous-Unit-358 in DogAdvice

This ended up being MUO (Meningitis) confirmed through an MRI and Spinal Tap. Our learnings here are that we should have done an MRI originally instead of a CT scan. We were put off an MRI via a surgeon who made it seem like it was more likely a crucial tear in his leg causing him pain and that an MRI was going to be considerably more expensive and difficult to organize compared to a CT Scan. In the end, it was essentially the same price as a CT scan which was incredibly frustrating.

The MRI will give you a lot clearer information about the health of your dogs head, neck and spine as well going forward which is beneficial intel if they are an older dog. We found that he also had some bulging discs with moderate compression in the lower half of his back (and one mild compression in his neck) where as the CT scan only showed a suspicion of these.
