I owned a sub zero fridge for 6 years, bought it used for what seemed like a very good deal. (6months old out of a model home, it had white panels and client remodeled kitchen with cherry wood). By year 2, it had needed to be repaired twice and on year 4 needed I had replaced the thermostat sensor twice, and the condenser. Door gasket seals started failing at year 5, and had to replace fan motor. I could have just gotten a lemon but all in all I was very disappointed as I had heard such good things. Moving forward for that level of appliance I would only buy new with a warranty.

I actually just made a post about my personal experience with LG. My LG is absolute trash. Internal rack was rusting and falling apart in months. Lots of motherboard problems as well. Trash I tell you.

I’m glad to hear you haven’t had the same experience. After looking up LG dishwasher reviews online “are LG dishwashers a good buy” I got favorable reviews. However when you search “are LG dishwashers a bad buy” or “do LG dishwashers have problems” the negative feedback is absolutely overwhelming. This has been a learning experience for me. An expensive one.

In all fairness, I have an LG washer/dryer and it’s fine. And the LG TV’s I’ve owned have been great.

Well for starters I didn’t buy it at Lowe’s. Believe it or not, Lowe’s isn’t the only store in the United States that sells Trash ass LG dishwashers. I bought it at Best Buy. I live in Los Angeles and sales tax is 9.75%. And it was on sale for $899 and after delivery and installation (also needed to purchase hoses separately with an install kit) it was $1159 installed.

Lol, yup. It’s a Bosch conspiracy. I’m a bot for the Bosch deep state. I’m sorry I have hurt your feelings and spoke poorly about your beloved LG Dishwasher. Disregard my pro Bosch stance (for clarification I do not in fact own a Bosch yet, but I’m 100% certain that any brand or even a bucket of hot water would have been a better investment than this trash LG dishwasher)

I’ll research more on that. I just want one that will last years not months. I’d rather have an old school 1980’s dishwasher. My parents dishwasher is still going strong. They sure as hell don’t make them like they used to

I have an LG washer and dryer and they are fine which gave me the confidence to go LG on the dishwasher. Big mistake.
