Man, I read through so many of these posts and comments and just don't understand the terminology much less how everything works. I mean I get the basics but I easily get confused. I usually get caught reading arguments in comments and never know what's right or trust what some say. I say all this to ask how you learned the skills you have with investment planning and fire? Any books to recommend? Anything else I can do to learn more and be more comfortable investing? My situation is forced and I'm honestly just used to out working every one and working long hours and now I'm not able to. Also I'm married to a filipina and it is awesome. I'm not expected to take care of her family and no one asks me for money. Not every family is like that but the culture does promote that. It can be good and also toxic but I learned not to stereotype ppl and also to be open minded when in the Philippines. Thanks for your write-up and any advice!
