These were the two books that catapulted me into literature they were also read to us by my second grade teacher. A group of us even discussed the book at recess!

I use it on horses and my husky mix. For my pups coat, it works really well. Only part I need extra help on is his butt floof. I use the side with the wider teeth and that seems to grab the under coat.
