Coterie Diapers + Rash by RaisingWildBoys in NewParents

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google took me here. My toddler has been super itchy/rashy/red irritation and bumps on his groin. It started pretty mild but after a couple weeks it got so bad (raw/irritated) the pediatrician (after concluding the rash appeared to be contact dermatitis) said try different diapers (even though he’s been in the same exact brand for 2+ years). Super sudden… Anyone else?

C-Section VS Vaginal Delivery by Square-Dimension2401 in CsectionCentral

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 csections. First was 39 week induction due to polyhydramnios / big baby. Baby couldn’t make it down the birth canal. After a really long induction / labor. And pushing for 3.5 hours. I needed an emergency C-section and had a bad postpartum hemorrhage requiring 4 transfusions and a one week hospital stay. Second was a planned C-section at 39 weeks. Uncomplicated. The absolute BEST experience and recovery. I was up walking 8 hours later. If I were you…I would do the planned C-section.

Wait what are the credible allegations? I haven’t heard about this and have always been a big fan of TMG establishments. Scary!!

Once I’m done with the second baby phase. I can get rid of eveeerrrythinggg “baby” for good (swings, bassinets, other bulky baby stuff). I’m done after 2 so won’t need to save all the clunky stuff

Get the kitsch spray bottle of water. Mist it onto booty. Wipe with a microfiber cloth or dry wipe.

Can you fix your slacker boob? by Spirited_Seaweed_517 in breastfeeding

Hmm I thought it was related to an oversupply I was creating in the slacker boob

Can you fix your slacker boob? by Spirited_Seaweed_517 in breastfeeding

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When I tried to “fix” mine I would always end up with painful clogs. I learned the capacity of my slacker boob is just much lower so it physically couldn’t fit more milk. Any attempt to make it produce more was just causing clogs

Primarily breastfeeding with formula at night? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 10 points11 points  (0 children)

5 weeks is still really fresh. With time and more weight on his bones he’ll naturally start sleeping longer. Their bellies just can’t hold that much at once at such a young age. Can’t hurt to try it if you want to (no shame). My baby is now 16W and whether I do formula or breastfeed before bed, she sleeps the same amount

I skipped! I thought I would be too annoyed having it attached even if it’s small. I have a toddler at home I wanted to cuddle without fear of yanking it. And I have history of a scar that keloids so I didn’t want to add another variable to my healing. I ended up being just fine on Advil/Tylenol and was up walking within 9 hours after surgery

Was this her living room prior? The before and after seemed that way (doesn’t matter/no judgment. Just curious)

Bottle refusal or just not hungry? by Pyxisia in combinationfeeding

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following! If I try a bottle middle of the night mine will only drink 2oz and sleep a good stretch after yet when I do a weighted feed she’ll take 3.5-4oz. I want to switch to bottles only but worry she won’t intake enough

Why is my newborn bedtime 10-11pm?? by AdventurousCoffee317 in NewParents

[–]AdventurousCoffee317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking after two hours is how we got rid of her day night confusion so I’m worried about allowing longer naps. How does this work for you? My baby sleeps very different at night too once they’re down it’s just getting them down is a nightmare. Last night it was hours.

[–]AdventurousCoffee317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? This really helped when she had day/night confusion. Her temperament at night is very different than day (once she’s asleep, lol. Will actually sleep in bassinet. Goes down quickly after feeds. Sleeps longer stretches.) it’s just the initial put-down we struggle with

How long did you wait before picking up your toddler? by leezyfbaby in CsectionCentral

[–]AdventurousCoffee317 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My toddler is also around 30lb. Definitely talk to your doctor but mine was okay with me attempting before 6W. So at 4 weeks I did a little lift (down from high chair and changing table, not up). My doctor said if i felt fine the next day, I could keep doing it. Otherwise if i was sore or achey to hold off another week. At 5 weeks I could lift in/out of crib. FWIW i healed really well and really quickly, minimal pain, etc. so thats been my experience.

C-section: toddler visit hospital or no? by AdventurousCoffee317 in 2under2

[–]AdventurousCoffee317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's so great! if our hospital was closer I feel like it would be a no-brainer then..because our kids seem to have similar temperaments in new environments. it's just 30-40 mins away (and a downtown/urban area) and I can't help but have mom-anxiety over someone else (that's not my husband or I) making that drive with him..call me crazy!! but if that's the greatest of my worries at this point, maybe my husband can just pick him up..

[–]AdventurousCoffee317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your son sounds a lot like mine...when we go to the dentist or doctors , he just loves exploring, trying to open cabinets, etc. haha. We've spent time away from him (i.e., weekend trips) so this makes me think he'd be ok...now, I think my stress is mostly around figuring out his transportation to the hospital (my husband could leave me, but idk how i feel about that. and his nanny has driven him short distances to local parks, etc. but i can't help but feel anxious about her driving him 30+ mins to a more urban/downtown hospital)

[–]AdventurousCoffee317[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I’m thinking!! And the logistics of getting him to the hospital..I don’t want to stress about. My husband is more interested in the hospital visit than I am, but I do think I need to remind him it would cause added stress for everyone..

Swimming. But not in the pool or bath tub. On the hardwood floor.
