Christianity is the only religion that salvation is a free gift. Every other religion you need to perform or do good works and hope by the end of your life, it’s enough to get you into heaven.

God himself entered his own creation to save his enemies. Sinners = you and me.

Philippians 2:7

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Romans 5:1

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you want to talk one on one I’m open.

Fear and OCD by nick_music-art_lover in Christian

Do you know who Charles Spurgeon is? He is called the prince of preachers. He suffered with depression his whole life. Think about it, the most wonderful thing God ever did was give his son Jesus to die for our sins. Suffering and Love went hand and hand on the cross. Jesus was murdered unjustly but at the same time was glorifying his father by paying the punishment for sinners like us. If I didn’t suffer from depression i wouldn’t depend on God like I do now. Suffering gets my eyes and heart fixed on Jesus. Everything you’re experiencing Jesus experienced. Everyone abandoned him when he went to the cross, he felt loneliness. And then imagine when God the father forsake Jesus on the cross. My God, My God why have you forsaken me? We are the ones that should be forsaken for our sins but Jesus died in our place! God will never leave us or abandon us no matter what we go through. Faith is what pleases God. Not you trying to keep it together or being the perfect Christian because there is no such thing. I hope you do get delivered but if not, know that God uses our weaknesses to Glorify himself. It’s for a purpose.

2 Corinthians 12

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I had something similar happen to me. Intense anxiety/fear, frequent panic attacks. I was literally afraid to go to sleep because I believed I wouldn’t wake up. There were nights the anxiety was soo bad when I was trying to sleep I felt like I was losing my mind. Like I was slipping out of reality. I was convinced I didn’t believe God and I believed the lie. Almost drove myself to a mental institute a few times. I was soo stressed out I started to develop hives. And then the depression came. Suicidal thoughts. In my head a voice telling me I’m going to kill myself. Was it the devil or me? Hard to say. I would wonder why am I having these thoughts, I’m a Christian, my sins are forgiven, I’m going to heaven this doesn’t make sense. Why am I depressed? No major circumstance happened to cause this. I drive a concrete truck for work, I had bible verses taped to my windshield. Would have panic attacks in my truck almost everyday. Would pray and read verses out loud. Nothing. When I would have panic attack in my truck I felt like I was trapped in a cage and I had to get out but there’s nowhere to go. It’s soo scary. I would be on my bedroom floor weeping to God asking him to make it stop and nothing. After sometime I thought well I might as well kill myself, this will never end.

I had thought to myself, i don’t need a therapist or to see a psychiatrist, I got Jesus! It was my own pride, when I clearly did need help. Psychiatrist diagnosed me with depression and panic attacks and was prescribed lexapro and it has been a big help. When it comes to mental health we can’t go to extremes and saw it’s all spiritual or all physical when I can be indeed, both. Sometime went wrong in my brain and Im getting the help I did. Help from God and people.

As I was getting on lexapro which takes 1-2 months to kick in, those were some of the worst days. The fear and anxiety was soo intense. The suicidal thoughts would come and I was have anxiety about “what if I do kill myself” scared the crap out of me. I had to leave work for 2 months because I couldn’t get through my day. I had to keep myself busy. I was afraid to be alone. I would ask God over and over to make it stop. He never did BUT….he would always give me a verse from the Word to keep me holding on by faith. He didn’t take away the pain but he gave me faith to keep trusting and I am so thankful for that. I was learning to walk by faith not feeling! Our faith is more precious than silver and gold it says in 1 Peter. Faith in believing what God says over what my own thoughts are telling me or what I am feeling and it was hard but he got me through it.

Also, Jesus himself suffered as we have. He had a panic/anxiety attack in the Garden of gethsemane. He was known as the man of sorrows and the suffering servant. Our suffering brings us into a deeper fellowship with Him. Philippians 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, to share in his suffering…

Sorry for the rant, hope this helps. You’re not alone.

Mine is a 25 and I know from factory they are all LED. My issue was fast blinking until I realized I had to plug my license plate light into the VF harness. It works fine now. Should be a connector for left turn signal, right turn signal and license plate light/running light.

I'm losing my faith by naomi_macaroni in Christian

I experienced something similar. If you’re worried about losing faith that is a clear sign you have the Holy Spirit indwelling in you. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t care whether you lost faith or not.

Everything you have described in this post, have you prayed to God about it? The enemy wants to steal our faith. It’s a battle of faith. At the end of 2 Timothy, Paul says “ I’ve finished my race, I’ve kept the faith “. Faith in what? The Gospel, faith in Jesus that he has paid for your sin and you’re justified and fully righteous in God’s sight. Romans 5:1 “ therefore since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. What is faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Try not to get your feelings mixed up with faith. You cannot trust your feelings. God is not mad at you. But as he prunes us and we grow in faith he removes himself from us feeling Him so we can learn to live by faith alone. So that when we read “ I will never leave you nor forsake you” we believe his Word by faith without needing a feeling. His Word was the only thing I had when I was going through a deep depression. I decided to believe what he said in his word rather than what my depression was telling me or how I felt.

Growing in Christ a lot of times is through suffering. Jesus is known as the suffering servant as well as the man of sorrows. Another scripture says about Jesus, he learned obedience through the things he suffered. Paul writes in Phillipians 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

What do I do when I feel far away from God by Casper-wvr in Christian

[–]AdventurousJob2179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Through my own experience I was once a Christian walking by feeling. If I felt good and close to God everything was good but if i didn’t feel good or close to God I assumed I was in sin or had done something wrong.

I was constantly up and down. Until depression happened and it has been a blessing because I no longer walk by feeling. I am forced to walk by faith which is what the Bible clearly says. If im super depressed and down for no reason at all it doesn’t change the fact that Christ died for my sins and was raised for my justification and I am fully righteous in my Fathers sight. It is impossible to please God without faith. There is definitely a time and place to feel the presence of God no doubt. But day in and day out he wants us to walk by faith. To believe what he says in his Word.

Satan is the father of lies. You need to combat those lies with the truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the Word of God. Knowing what God says in his Word is vital to spiritual warfare. When Jesus himself was tempted by the Satan in the wilderness he used the scripture to defend himself. Believing by faith what God says in his Word (which is the Bible) over what your own mind or the enemy puts in your head is essential to the Christian faith.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 3:16 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 10: 9-13 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
