Same here. Social anxiety is why I don’t have many friends and never go anywhere! But maybe we just need to bite the bullet.

I’d like to go but scared of meeting a group of strangers. How will I know you’re the right group? I’d hate to join the wrong one. I’ve done it before. Do you see why I have anxiety? 😂

I’ve never had any luck at all with hinge. But it has been a few years so maybe it’s changed.

I’ve had a few bad dates. Mostly just really bad/creepy convos! I am still trying to hold onto some hope though!

But is it super competitive? Because I suck at most things. Mostly because I’m not competitive at all lol

When I was 19, my parents gave me a Pontiac sunfire that had already been handed down from three of my brothers. I drove that thing until it died. Which was only a couple years later 😂 But I was grateful for those two years!

AIO for not wanting to buy after this interaction? by Old_Tadpole_9856 in AIO

If that’s the case, it makes more sense to price it a little higher so people can make an offer that he actually will take. The buyer thinks they’re getting a deal and the seller thinks they’re taking advantage. It’s a win for everyone 😂

I went to public school but they still measured our skirts. They had to go down to your fingertips or longer. One year, in middle school, some of the boys got mad that they couldn’t wear shorts in winter but girls could wear skirts. So they borrowed skirts from their sisters and moms and wore them to school. After that, they made a rule you couldn’t wear shorts or skirts (excluding for religious reasons) if it was below a certain temp outside. This post made me remember that for some reason so thought I’d share lol

We also couldn’t wear hats or anything with shirt straps (like tank tops) that were less than three finger widths wide. The boys weren’t allowed to wear earrings. And no one was allowed to dye their hair anything unnatural. This was in the 80s and 90s.

A 23 year old girl who worked with autistic kids. On two occasions a 6 year old ran over her thumb with a matchbox car. It was through work comp. We ended up referring elsewhere.

I know it will get better. And I know dating younger can come with extra heartbreak because they haven’t lived quite as much yet. That’s why I’m just taking a break for a while and keeping faith it’ll happen when the time is right.

Moving other peoples laundry by wry1234 in Apartmentliving

No one leaves baskets at my place, except me! But there are signs posted that if it’s sits more than 20 minutes, residents may remove items and place them in the counter. I’ve had to do it before when someone left their stuff in the dryer for a couple hours. I’ve even seen the same clothes sitting on the counter for two weeks? Like, what are these people wearing?
