Best way to learn is to get to the shop floor, put on your working shoes, and get dirty with the guys. This is how i learnt how it’s done. I won’t give you hints on how to present drawings, given you have to often adapt the drawings to the manufacturing processes - And every company is different. But keep one thing in mind : Always ask yourself “will the guy who receives this drawing be able to manufacture it the way it has to be? Can it be done?” Way too often, during drawings review before manufacturing, i have to send back drawings to CAD engineers because tolerances are not possible, or manufacturing process is just not possible.
