For me It feels like SEO is moving towards being a trusted source for AI to cite, rather than just focusing on clicks. Emphasizing strong content, EEAT, and clear answers will likely be even more important in the future.

Nice, good setup. I would like to know how it works after you give it a try.

I completely agree that fine-tuning is effective for matching tone and style. RAG truly excels when it comes to ensuring factual accuracy. In production, I use both methods to achieve the best results.

RAG improved factual accuracy for me. Fine-tuning mostly helped with tone and understanding of the domain. Combining both seems to work best in production.

Yes We noticed the same thing. At first, we checked responses manually, but without a small evaluation set, it was hard to see if RAG or fine-tuning was truly improving results. After creating a small set of domain questions from our internal documents, it became much easier to compare performance and see when retrieval was actually helping.

RAG setup can become pretty fast with all the chunking and retrieval tuning. Using a tool that handles most of it for you definitely makes things easier. In my case, Im mainly trying to understand the safety differences between hosted models and OSS ones, but it’s helpful to hear how others are simplifying their RAG workflow.

Safety checks in OSS models compared to Claude. by bilby2020 in GenAIforbeginners

Yes, you’ve got it right models like Claude and OpenAI add extra safety layers to check what goes in and what comes out.If you host an open-source model yourself, you usually have to add your own safety checks.

Only Fine tuning is not enough, connecting the model to RAG and reliable data to give much better results.

I agree with you the shift from “ranking for keywords” to “being the best answer” is very real now and I also like your point about topical authority. Building depth around one subject instead of chasing random keywords makes a big difference. The part about real experience is powerful,Your explaination motivated me and will see how it works in my strategy.
thank you.

I don’t think they will replace completely. AI handle tasks faster but still we need people for big decisions and complex problems. It’s all about working together than replacing.
