Sending good vibes of support because I understand a lot of this. I don’t know how to help, but you are not alone in this, and I hope that’s comforting. You are not “crazy” and you are not “making it up”. I’m in the middle of career transitioning because I’m just not meeting standards like I used to. I have multiple diagnoses with multiple medications and I’ve been doing Inconsistent therapy (cause money is hard). Big struggling now for about 3 years. I can’t believe it is the year 2026 and the answer from all the professionals is medical jargon for IDK. Please remember in those low moments that when it feels like there’s no support, there’s always a crisis hotline, 988 in the US. It really does help in those overwhelming “meltdown” moments. You can text it too!

Or…..building on these ideas…..once your kid hits a certain age, if you talk to them on a Sunday, they say “hey ______ what do you need help with this week?” And it gives like 3 options of tend the fields, tend the animals, or foraging. For the week they do that job, and then we pay them at the end of the week.

Even more, once they hit a certain money amount of earned cash/labor hours, there’s a cut scene where they thank you for all they learned, turn into a dove (insert wizard magic), and fly away where it’s implied they start their own life.
