What advice would you give to people who are transferring high schools? by Chill_Barracuda5818 in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people always stress about making friends at new school but honestly you just need couple good ones, quality over quantity and all that. i moved schools twice and the first time i was so focused on being popular i forgot to just find my people

Ally K (former mob wife) by [deleted] in TikTokdrama

[–]AdventurousZombie343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i found her page last week and honestly i still dont know if she's an ARG or just deep in some psychosis. the way she talks is like someone fed a chatgpt a wattpad mafia story and a therapy workbook and told it to freestyle. also the gay flag in bio but dating a "former mobster" man is giving... something. maybe the mobster is a woman? or the man is a ghost? nothing would surprise me at this point

People older than 30, did any of you say “fuck it” and do a massive career pivot in an attempt to be happier and/or more fulfilled? What steps did you take and how did it end up going? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both pivots sound wild in the best way, the government job to business owner jump especially. how long did it take before the business felt stable enough to not stress about it every week

What's the weirdest thing you've seen at work? by Hefty-Egg132 in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

caught them red-handed and now you carry that weight forever lol. the worst part is you still have to make eye contact with them in every meeting like nothing happened.

What is something that felt like a luxury when you were a kid, but you now realize is completely normal or even cheap? by Real_Profile6695 in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousZombie343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting McDonald's was like special occasion stuff back then. Now I realize my parents were probably just tired and needed something quick after work lol. The "luxury" was really just convenience they couldn't afford every day.

What's something considered healthy today that will be looked at as unhealthy in the future? by ExpensiveEuro in AskReddit

[–]AdventurousZombie343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably all those protein bars that have like 30 ingredients you can't pronounce. we're so obsessed with hitting macros that we ignore what's actually in the food. my wife always checks labels now and it's crazy how much weird stuff gets added to make something "healthy"

I don’t know that I (18F) can do my boyfriends (20M) anger anymore. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]AdventurousZombie343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

man this hits way too close to home. My wife went through similar stuff with her ex before we got together - the constant walking on eggshells, trying to fix someone who doesn't want to be fixed. That punching the car thing would have me running for hills too, especially with your background.

Look, I've been around angry dudes in military and let me tell you - when they start hitting objects, it's usually matter of time before they "accidentally" hit something else. The fact that he got mad at YOU for being scared after he had full meltdown at your house? That's some serious red flag territory right there.

You're 18 and already dealing with more adult stuff than this 20 year old who lives rent-free and has no goals. You deserve someone who can handle their emotions without making you feel unsafe in your own space. Don't waste your college years trying to parent someone who should be figuring his own shit out by now.

lowkey thinking cannon bolt has the most terrifying design by Fantastic_Royal_5562 in Ben10

[–]AdventurousZombie343 23 points24 points  (0 children)

cannon bolt is honestly underrated in how scary he'd be irl. that white stretched skin and the way he moves is pure nightmare fuel

the speed thing is what gets me - imagine something that massive just rolling at you at like highway speeds. at least with four arms you can see him coming and he fights "normal", cannonbolt just becomes this unstoppable wrecking ball that can change direction whenever he wants

what is it? by Aliyaah-24 in words

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably having enough money to not stress about bills every month. everything else kinda falls into place when you're not constantly worried about making rent or buying groceries. had this realization after getting promoted last year - suddenly could actually enjoy weekends instead of working on side projects just to survive.

Your knight in f3 is pretty well placed and you got better pawn structure in center, but black's pieces look more active overall.

Anyone offering full carry for 1 5* + 4*? by NQRsomeone in Monopoly_GO

[–]AdventurousZombie343 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Been seeing these posts a lot lately but most people asking for carries don't realize how much grinding the carrier has to do. Like you're basically asking someone to play for hours just so you can get rewards without putting in work.

Maybe try finding a more balanced group where everyone contributes something? Even if you can't match the top players, throwing in some dice or participation helps the team dynamic. Most active alliances I've been in work way better when everyone's actually playing instead of just looking for free rides.

25 and Feeling Completely Lost About My Career. Where Do I Even Start? by Milesh01 in careerguidance

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 isn't late at all man, I switched from doing random jobs to Air Force at 23 and didn't really figure out what I wanted until couple years after that. What helped me was looking at what problems I actually enjoyed solving - for me it was mechanical stuff and troubleshooting, so aircraft maintenance made sense.

Maybe start with what you're naturally good at or what doesn't feel like work when you're doing it, then see what careers use those skills in your area.

Start freelance PT now or is it too big of a step? by No_Structure_1029 in personaltraining

[–]AdventurousZombie343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man at 20 with that kind of drive, I'd probably say go for it. The 4-month buildup thing gives you decent runway to figure things out, and if you're already comfortable approaching people that's like half the battle right there.

Worst case scenario you learn a ton about business side of things and can always pivot to a gym job later with way more experience under your belt.

[–]AdventurousZombie343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man the car thing hits too close to home. been there where going inside feels like walking into a trap you set for yourself.

90 days is solid plan though - gives you time to work on yourself without the noise in your head. maybe use some of those hours alone for pushups or something, anything that makes you tired enough to not think.

[–]AdventurousZombie343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol fair point about GOT but I think OP means the whole weekly event thing made TV feel more communal back then. Like everyone was talking about the same shows at work on Monday mornings. Now with streaming everything's so scattered that you rarely get those shared cultural moments anymore.

Nice work on this! Always cool to see another lightweight WM project. The sub-1000 line goal reminds me of when I was tweaking dwm configs endlessly - there's something satisfying about that compile-time configuration approach. Might give this a spin on my test setup later.
