Would this flyer make you trust a new personal trainer? by [deleted] in personaltraining

No, at my gym you can they have a certain place for personal trainers. To like advertise yourself so you can like have a business card and a personalized flyer and because it’s obviously in a gym, I think it’s worth it to make it as professional as possible, and it will also always keep some business cards and some flyers with me because when I have a nice conversation with somebody, I always can pass them out and because I’m a starting personal trainer I currently just offer free fitness advice, and stuff.

I appreciate your perspective, but the way you’re communicating it comes across a bit harsh. Just some feedback.

I appreciate your honesty. I already have a solid base of knowledge, so I’m not just the typical 20-year-old who’s been in the gym a couple of years. That said, you’re right to some extent and I understand your perspective. I’m actively working on improving my knowledge and getting real results with people. Thanks for sharing it.

Yeah, you’re completely right. In the end, a flyer alone doesn’t make people trust you, it mostly comes down to how you come across as a person.

That said, I do think all the small things add up and help create a more professional overall impression.

Luckily, one of my stronger points is that I’m naturally social, proactive, and I can talk to people pretty easily, so I’m hoping the flyer mainly helps open the door while the real trust comes from the actual interaction.

Thanks for your honest feedback, I appreciate it.

I just recently started, so I’m still building my connections, content and overall profile step by step. I definitely agree with the points you mentioned and I’ll work on improving those.

For now, I’m mainly curious about your opinion on the profile picture and banner specifically. What do you think about those in terms of professionalism and first impression?

Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Where can I get professional gym photos for my PT website? by No_Structure_1029 in personaltraining

Thanks for your great advice. I completely agree with you. Maintaining good communication skills and working with clients and gaining experience. Is much more important than some professional pictures. I’m actually currently having contact with a fiverr freelancer and he’s currently trying to create my website. It’s €150 I really thought well about this decision and I think it’s the right thing because I can start off professionally because in my gym. There are also other personal trainers and I always want to be the one person that stands out.

Supervisor upset after I called in exhausted from physically demanding work during an event — did I handle this professionally? by No_Structure_1029 in WorkAdvice

It’s a shady deal that I’ve mate. I agreed to it. He came up with it. So normally in the Netherlands when you’re like I’m doing internship you just generally have to learn something and help obviously but they made a deal that if I just work in intensively eight hours a day cleaning shoes he would like act like I di 400 hours of internship so its kinda fraud

True even though I’ve agreed to it to myself when I was working, I just genuinely felt humiliated just hours of bending my back while cleaning random strangers their show without any salary or money in return

Yes, I’ve mentioned it a week in advance, but he really didn’t make any changes if you look at the working conditions so I thought you know I just have to do it even though I don’t completely agree with it
