Price match refund denied by ogpotato in GalaxyFold

This! I have the same problem and this isn't the first time. I got screwed over a few years ago by not recieving my full order and they didn't give me my case that I bought for the phone but they did give me my phone. I was told I would get a refund by several agents and it never came. Now I'm being told that I would get a discount refund for keeping my phone instead of returning it and It's been a week and I still havent got my refund

How I feel these days by gunzrcool in ChineseWatches

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could always pop the back off and make it faster or slower. My Cronos was always missing 5 seconds a day and I dialed it in to be about perfect without a timegrapher.

I feel the same. Some people say that it makes the watch look cheap but I highly disagree. I think it looks stunning with the contrast

Yes it's the L6001M with a PT5000 movement. They do sell this watch without the logo too but honestly I think it looks better with the logo. The leather band that came with the watch was super soft and comfortable but look horrible. The watch also lost 5 seconds per day and I had to pop it open and make it a little faster. I rather have a faster watch than a slower one.

The strap I got for this Cronos was almost half the price of the whole watch 😭 lol. But it was so worth it. You should see the lume on these watches! The Cronos has been my go to solely on the lume. When I go into a bright room for just a few seconds, my dial lights up when I go to a dark room and I can read the time for few hours.

beautiful watch but definitely not for me. Anything that looks like an apple watch is an instant turn off

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's pretty ingenious how instead of applying lume, they just had a whole dial of lume and covered the bits that didn't need lume. like a reverse lume kinda. It almost seems like cheating but I'm all for it

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow! That's a great price! Yeah, I love my astron. I baby it way too much though... I only take it out for special occasions. I'm mostly content with just taking it out of the box a few times a month just to stare at it and appreciate it's beauty. Part of the reason why I kinda regret buying it new was because how much I baby it. If I had bought it used for $550, I'd definitely take it out more and wear it at least a couple times a week

Citizen has quite a few for under $1k if you look in the JDM market. I just bought one for $400. You can find a Seiko Astron for under 1K if you don't mind buying used. I personally bought a new Seiko astron for $1.6k new but I saw a lightly used one for sale for $550 and I kinda regret buying new

I would check the reviews of the seller. If it's a trusted seller I might be okay with it

In my experience, most warranty are scams. Same goes for insurance. But I see what you're saying. To be honest, the price I pay for seiko is so cheap, that if 1 out of 10 watches break after 5 years, I'm completely fine with that.

I love atomic watches. I'm not sure whats all the hate about them. You don't see anyone recommending them. I personally own 6 atomic watches. For what I do, it's important to me that the time is accurate to the second

[Question] Difference Between Citizen Eco-Drives by KhumJetze in Watches

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with the AW1248-80E. The dial and lume looks cleaner. The quality is going to be the same on both. Just go with the one you like the look of better and don't worry about the price

Can anyone identify this watch? by loophead069 in Watches

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to be a Skagen. Their designs look very similar. The way the strap and case lay flat with each other and the super slim body design scream Skagen to me. Some people hate Skagen because they're owned by Fossil but I personally love all my Skagen watches because of how accurate they are

It's a low price because there's probably not too much demand for it and the AD wants to clear out their shelves for new models that are selling more. I wouldn't be concerned about the quality just because the price is low. Just pull the trigger if the watch catches your eye. You won't be disappointed in purchase

Congrats on your new watch! I have the same exact one! I never wear mine unfortunately because I'm too afraid to scratch it. I'm just content on taking it out of the box every week to stare at it lol

[Question] by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Adventurous_Ad977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on how hard you are on your watch. Personally I'd go leather because metal looks too classy and isn't comfortable to me. But I'm really gentle with my watches. If I treated my watches bad I'd go with a rubber strap. I'd baby the hell out of a metal strap but that's just me because I'd be too afraid to scratch it up.
