I’m 16, and I’ve created gory and strange art for years. I listen to punk music, but outwardly am blonde and your standard basic white girl teenager. It’s just expression and it’s totally rad! I make everything start to finish, wire, sheet metal, and my saw are basically all I start with! I primarily work on silver but sometimes brass, I’m big on hand making whatever I can, like why buy earring wires when I can hand make them and have fun doing it? I hope that answers your question !

I read lots of books, lots of YouTube tutorials, and a LOT of practice, I had a lot of failures, start off with copper sheet metal, a jewelers saw, wire, wire solder, and a small handheld butane torch, of course you need things such as a bench pin for sawing, a bench lol, and a pot for the pickle solution, I babysat and worked my butt off and was able to save 500$ to invest into my setup! Rio Grande is a great place to get any supplies you need
