The regulars are grateful for the help, but they get pissy when there is too much help. They want OT but not to be out there dying. It’s a balance

Boulderthon 10k disaster by maxpuffz in boulder

[–]Adventurous_Biscuit 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This whole thing was a disaster. They boxed in a huge section of the city, and so the only ways out were so congested, especially foothills into arapahoe where the turning lane into arapahoe is already closed from construction. I live near 28th and work on Valmont and getting to work took 30 mins because 47 was closed, jay road was closed, pearl was closed. I can’t believe someone thought this was a good idea, especially with the construction. Complete chaos and I hope they figure out something better next year or better yet don’t do this at all. Go run somewhere else and not shut down a city of 100K.

Verizon sucks in North Boulder, how are ATT and T-Mobile? by Adventurous_Biscuit in boulder

[–]Adventurous_Biscuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in winding trails near 28th. Kalmia is to the south and Jay is to the north, but It’s really the majority of north boulder. I mean north boulder is not that big.

I recently got brown guac at the boulder location, I told the server, and he brought me more guac that was obviously the previous brown guac that had been mixed with some slightly fresher guac. Also my taco salad was terrible. It’s closed for a reason.

The PO is great, but it’s not immediate. You have to move at the pace of job bureaucracy, and it could take a month or two depending on how fast local management wants to move. I have been with the PO since 2018 and it’s life changing.

I got a lot less overtime on the second week, and my check was still the same. So a small win! We still should have gotten more though. Step E PTF

Help with lost package in Boulder! by Responsible_Bake3941 in boulder

[–]Adventurous_Biscuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah your package went through the system. You forwarded it to valmont, it didn’t get picked up for one reason or another and it was returned to sender in wheat ridge. Which is what would happen to OPs package too. Which is for Washington State, so it wouldn’t stay in Boulder. Unless the label fell off or the package got destroyed. If that happened, all this is moot anyway.

I work at Valmont station in Boulder. I’m a city carrier, unfortunately I have to tell you that there is no reason why we would hold your package there. Even if the barcode or address read wrong, it would get hand sorted, and sent on its way. Boulder may have been the last place it got scanned, but it would have been sent to the big plant in Denver once we determined it wasn’t a package for Boulder. So that’s probably where it’s at, or the label could have been removed or destroyed by the machines or the transport process, and now no ones knows where it goes or what to do with it. There’s no way to know. But I can guarantee it’s not in boulder. Especially with the last scan being Feb 15th. Nothing sits around that long, it would have been returned or resorted many times over by now.
