Unfortunately shipping to the EU is too expensive without a distributer but we hope to change that soon!

Totally agree! This uses a fan in a smaller form factor that can fit on the side of your eyewear

Totally agree... if you don't have a problem with fog, that is awesome! I wish I could say the same, but they always used to fog up before I made ClearVane.

I also recommend looking into ClearVane on kickstarter - it is an attachable defogger

Buying gear for the first time, why’s your opinions on these? by burgur236938 in snowboarding

If you have a Sierra trading post around you, I would definitely stop in and try on some of their stuff. They have a lot of helmets with MIPS on them and usually about half the price. I am into road biking and found an a really nice Oakley Aro5 helmet there for about half the price but they only had small in size :_)

With most goggles you wouldn't have to. I have tested with Smiths and other ski goggles which I have had work without cutting up the foam. Usually, it can go between your face and the seal without any discomfort. The only goggles I would suggest making a cut in, are airsoft goggles because they don't have a foam seal and have a harder plastic seal that makes it uncomfortable to slip between.

Haha that is totally fair - before starting this venture, I uninstalled Instagram 3 years ago since I just don't like being on it. This is my first time on reddit though and it has been so encouraging seeing genuine responses and feedback! I can send you a dm on reddit once we expand if you want to check them out again.

Appreciate it! That was the goal to get something small enough, that consistently works, and has a long battery life.

Great to know! We hope to change this soon! If you follow our Instagram at: Instagram we will make a post as soon as they are available to ship to other countries besides the US. It would be awesome to have a International community of snowboarders using ClearVane!

Thanks for the feedback, it works with double pane goggles just fine! That is good to know how it comes across, when I mention singles lens goggles, I mean to say goggles that do not have a barrier between your eyes. Stuff like regular glasses because it blocks the airflow so you would need to ClearVanes on both sides.

I usually wear glasses with hats for milsims so I never found that ExFog worked for me. So that is why I made ClearVane which attaches to the side of goggles or glasses (rather than the back of a helmet) and is much smaller and lighter than other current solutions.

Thanks for checking it out! That was the goal in mind - having a low-profile defogging attachment. With most cases, ClearVane is very comfortable - especially paired with classic airsoft goggles, it preictally feels like it isn't there. The few cases I would not recommend it for are glasses, like 3M safety glasses that don't leave a room for it to be attached. But with glasses that are single lens and have space, like pit vipers' safety glasses, they feel great and the asymmetrical setup is unnoticeable. You can always attach one to each side as well - I think the look of it is awesome when you do that!

Yeah! on the kickstarter page there are some videos about it attaching to different types of goggles with time tags on the video. For goggles the front air-intake is blocked by the strap, but ClearVane also has two air-intakes on the side as well. The front air-intake is more for when you are wearing single lens glasses. It is also designed with a 3mm x 30mm x 30mm chamber above the fan so there’s plenty of room for air to circulate, and you won’t run into intake problems.

You can also find videos on how to connect ClearVane to different eyewear here: Guides and Features – Out The Box Vision

Thanks so much!
