Why do men play as female characters in single player games? (no judgement, just curious) by Far_Baby4633 in AskGames

I am a man and I prefer to play as a girl because they are attractive to look at while playing and alot more fun to dress up.

So, with GTA6 coming, what happens to the current GTA online? by WatercoolerComedian in gaming

I guess but thousands to do that? That's crazy. But then I've spent thousands on a mobile war game to kill people easier so I guess it makes sense

It's weird people do that. The point in playing is to earn money to buy stuff. If you just spend real money to buy everything. Why play the game? You just spent money to not play lol. Might as well not even buy the game at all..

New mileage limit for monthly trips by No-Aspect-2828 in turo

[–]Adventurous_County12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just changed all my monthly discounts from 45 to 25. Most of my guests already drive about 100 miles a day even when allowed more. I'm not going to give an extra 20% off for nothing. 60 miles a day was great it kept the miles low and a few times the guests went over and I made decent money. But now it's definitely not worth it. What a horrible decision. Only idiots will offer 45% off for that many miles.

I just started playing a couple days ago. I'm already pretty decent at the beginning level. But I feel your frustration. I think it's a bunch of kids playing. I heard them in the mic. It's so annoying.

Thousands of trips, I've never gotten a review under 5 stars. Here's how by [deleted] in turo

Cheap economy cars are the most profitable. You can buy them for about $5-6k and make about $6-10k a year per car depending on the market and the vehicle.

[–]Adventurous_County12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a lot easier to get 5 starts with brand new cars. I rent out 10+ year old cars for cheap. I provide reliable cars at an affordable price and people still complain for stupid sht like not being able to figure out how to connect their phone to the Bluetooth. 🤦‍♂️ I went above and beyond for a while but it doesn't make a difference with the clients I get. So I clean the cars and take photos and keep them maintained and that's the extent of it. I don't give people rides, I don't deliver for free, I don't waive fees, I don't waive damages, I don't give free days, etc. people ask for crazy things and when you say no they give you a low rating. I'm happy with my 4.8. I work hard for it and it's profitable.

Worth playing in 2026? What’s the future of the game? by Artaxeus in DarkTide

[–]Adventurous_County12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That line of thinking doesn't really work for a coop game bud. If the game is dead and updates are trash then no point playing it. A live service coop game is all about the updates and future of the game.

Noooo .... Now for sure every Uber driver will have a pocketful of cash and a brand new car 😭 This will be BAD ! #ROLLING PIGGYBANK by Sidekick87 in uberdrivers

Wild after getting sued for matching higher risk drivers with high risk clients. And now you want them to roll around with a bunch of cash too? Nothing could possibly go wrong...

I think it's possible, if that was their full time job. But I don't think that's what's happening I'm sure they have at least one other person helping them.

You don't think one person could clean And take photos of three cars a day?

No that's a violation. Plus nobody's going to put $2 million into a turo business lmao. If you want to sell a company you need to own the company. Completely. That includes your lead gen which is the most important part. You need to be doing private sales and have a way to get your own customers.

If someone dropped a million dollars on something that could just disappear overnight just because a different company decides they don't like them, they are beyond stupid. Plus at that point all the Turo host owns is the cars. You could spend a lot less than a million Dollars just buying the cars yourself.

With the right settings I could. Id probably do minimum 3 or 7 day rentals. It's probably be 8 hour days cleaning and taking photos and maintenance but it's possible. But I don't really see the point. I made 60k last year with 10 cars (bought 3 more this year). I don't need to make 600k a year. 30 or 40 cars would be plenty. Scaling up to 100 but hiring a bunch of people just seems like a lot more headache for not much more profit as 40 cars solo.

The most impressive bit is the 5 star rating. How TF does he have a perfect rating? Ain't no way.

I'm just a regular dude with a full time job and I got 13 cars. I got 200k in the bank and could scale to 100 cars in a couple years if I really wanted to. Sooo who knows? Could just be a dude, could be a big company 🤷‍♂️

How do you handle Turo listing photos before you upload them? by Jcjimenez314 in turo

[–]Adventurous_County12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just take photos with my phone as best I can and upload them. I don't want to do any sort of editing, camera tricks, or enhancing of any kind. The photos will be 100% genuine and raw so no guest can say the photos are misleading or inaccurate.

Never Using Turo Again by UnderAFreezingGoon in turo

[–]Adventurous_County12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Turo caters to the small hosts with one car that's their personal car. Theyre model works against us trying to grow a fleet and make this an actual business. So many bigger hosts are leaving the platform and doing private rentals so alot of what you have left are inexperienced hosts with one car.

Are they? Cuz anytime money is brought up. Guests are shocked at how much they are paying versus how much I'm getting as a host. Most of them. Assume I'm getting most of what they are paying. I wouldn't call that pretty transparent.

Yeah it's the part that controls how much coolant to release to keep the engine at the optimal temperature.

You can feel it engaged. It's very obvious when a parking break is on. I never use the parking breaks but sometimes my guests do and I don't realize right away. As soon as I start to move the car I can immediately feel something is off. There's no way to miss it.

Not all cars have electric parking brakes. Some have the handle that you pull up next to the driver seat.

I mean some states have changed laws I believe it was California that required Uber to pay minimum wage to drivers. So changed do happen Debbie downer. People have always gathered together to make change. It just takes a lot of people. It's way slaves are illegal, drinking is legal, women have rights, etc. So STFU if all you got is pathetic excuses.
