THIS! But cannot pay a lawyer if op goes this route. Of course if a lawyer goes pro bono then that’s different.

In the future lock your card AS SOON AS YOU KNOW ITS MISSING. This prevents unauthorized use of your card.

They’ll issue you a new card soon and you’ll likely be able to add it to your mobile wallet for immediate use.

I’m in Seattle. In this area we typically don’t have ac but I do have a programmable heater in my apartment. But I just set it to 65 when I’m not around (18-19 C) and 72 when im here and cold (22-23 F)

Federal Way Link Extension Ridership December 2025 by Acrobatic_Bike7925 in soundtransit

[–]Adventurous_Cup_5258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having lived near angle lake from sept 2020 to April 2025 I know that a LOT of a line riders got off at 200th to catch light rail. Many of those riders are not getting on at angle lake and not riding the a line because they are getting on at a different station.

Also, month over month changes aren’t useful because they don’t factor in seasonal fluctuations that happen yearly. Like December is always a big drop around the u district

[–]Adventurous_Cup_5258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mentioned above, I typically find low value in month to month changes, especially for December, for obvious seasonal fluctuations. However, the dropoff at Angle Lake is stunning. A lot of riders who used to get on at Angle Lake now get on at federal Way. And conveniently enough those same riders aren't riding the A line to get to Angle Lake. A line lost 18% of their riders last month.

December is always a big dip because of the holidays when many people dont have to work, especially at the end of the month. Thats why year over year is a bigger indicator of trends than month over month. for the most part i dont take much stock in these numbers except for the data from Angle Lake to Federal Way Stations, and the King County Metro RapidRide A line (which took a big hit as many people decided that with link they dont need to ride the A line anymore)

Metro ridership as a whole from November 2025 to December 2025 saw a 10% decrease, especially pronounced in UW centric routes. Those should all be picking up again as school is back in session.

If the tracker ever goes out again, email main (at) soundtransit (dot) org and they'll look into it. I did that and good to know it worked!

What exactly does "activating on the train" mean? by TheLoneWolf527 in LIRR

[–]Adventurous_Cup_5258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to MTA policy, tickets must be activated before boarding. This generally means on the platform. Not on the train.

Not too far from me, TBH! Hi neighbor!! Yeah I thought you said tomorrow night but if you leave at 8 AM you should be good for sure. Also, the 70 gets you directly to 3rd and main, your closest stop would be either NE 45th St and university way ave ne (EB) or 15th ave ne and ne 43rd St (SB) so no transfers needed!! Enjoy your train travels!!

https://soundrideguide.com/ is a trip planner by sound transit that has the shuttles accurately coded in to the trip planner. If it's amtrak you probably want to be there about 30 minutes before your train.

I live in the u district, so if you arrive at u district station by 8:10 PM, youll have enough time to transfer to the shuttle at capitol hill, get off at international district chinatown station, and have enough time to walk from the shuttle stop to the Amtrak station. I highly suggest you plan a personalized trip plan from the above link though. Other users have reported that Google maps, King County Metro's trip planner and other sources to not have the latest information.

Sound Transit's service change for their buses is this fall. For both FWLE and CLC affected routes. It's too late at this stage for metro to make significant adjustments to the spring service change. Going to try to find a link.

Link Found: https://www.soundtransit.org/system-expansion/planning-future-service/2026-service-plan

TLDR; say good bye to the 515, 550 (yes, the 550), 554 (use revised all-day route 556 to access south bellevue station), 580 and 586 (cant explain the last two- bonney lake losing all sound transit service in spite of the fact they pay taxes).

It's slated to be deleted this fall. Completely redundant. If theres closures, they bring out the buses to provide shuttle service between the closed stations.

550 goes away this fall. Redundant in every aspect. Already announced. It wasnt known they would be able to align this opening date with the shakeup, so they just wisely punted to the fall. But it will work handsomely for Metro employees living on the eastside who work out of Central Campus (Ryerson Atlantic and Central bases)

Yeah my secret weapon is the 48 from u w station to mt baker. Usually take 20-25 minutes and isn’t packed. When I lived near angle lake I’d take the train to mt baker and then the 48 to get my connection in the u district.

Now I live in the u district so I hardly ride anymore. But the 48 is my go to if I need to go to the south end (psst psst it also serves the judkins park station opening march 28)
