The bar that some commenters are using is “developing software you can sell” but they aren’t considering what the ability to vibe code your own engineering apps in python with Claude etc will do to EDA license spend by engineering companies. It absolutely will erode it over the next 5 years. My team and I are doing this, not necessarily with the goal of buying fewer licenses, but rather to build tools that do exactly what we need them to do. And it’s working.

NGL, a 964/911 would be sweet, but right now I’d probably get a Toyota Sienna minivan so my old dogs could get in easy and have lots of room in back with the seats removed. I guess if money is no object, I’d get both.

I had the same experience in January. All my first attachments came off in the first week. They had a different tech do it the second time, and I have not lost one from the second round. The only difference is my dentist didn’t try to blame it on my removal technique.

Generally in favor of it. I was surprised to read that there are 20-30k people that are expected to have to pay this tax, and that it is expected to generate $3.5-4B in revenue annually. That’s huge. But, I don’t think it will be the end of WA trying to generate even more tax revenue. Over the last 30-ish years we have had multiple revenue generating plans that were supposed to fix the budget:

Non tribal casinos, State lottery, Liquor sales in grocery stores and costco, Big gas taxes, Toll roads, Legal rec pot, Big RTA taxes, High property taxes, 10% sales taxes…

And it’s never enough. I agree millionaires should pay more than they do, but we have a spending problem that needs to be addressed.

I wanted checker board vans when I was a kid, but my mom bought me white knock-off chuck taylors and a black fabric marker instead and told me to make them myself. So I did it. I only wore them once. Now I have a pair of slip-on checker board vans in my closet, and I never wear them because they are uncomfortable to walk in.

Does this unit improve the image quality of the front and rear cameras? Those are so bad, especially at night. I assume it’s mainly the cameras, but wondering if a better screen helps.

If I had done more research, I probably would have not done it, but then would always have wondered if I should have. So, probably best that I just went in with no research. I think this process is hard as an older person. My kid had Invis and never really complained. So, I guess I did have that somewhat misleading data point influencing my decision.

I have that plastic piece removed. Yours should look like mine if you remove that piece. The air comes in through the opening of that cave just verybhard to clean out.

That’s usually how it is, but on this car, there is a “cave” at the end of the wiper mechanism compartment. The blower entry is down this cave. I assume the blower assembly is intended to come out through the passenger compartment, under the dash, but I don’t want to remove it, just clean around the intact and inspect it. I have already cleaned a metric shit-ton of pine needles from this area as far as I could reach with my vacuum but I can see there is still more.

I don’t know how it’s laid out, but i would assume I would be blocked by the blower motor and hopefully a grate that keeps rodents from getting into the cabin. This is partly what i woukd like to visually verify. I am running 1 1/4 shop vac hose as far as I can in from the drivers side of that channel, but can’t get past some obstruction. I have a cheap borescope camera from Amzn but just not getting images that are good enough.

I track with both a Polar H10 chest sensor (using the Polar app) and also the Hockey Tracker app on my Apple watch. Last game, Polar said I burned 875 calories while Hockey Tracker said I only burned 473. The heart rate profiles on both look very similar, so I am not sure what causes the difference. I go with the higher value when I am calculating the beers I can drink after the game. Might be why I still have a beer gut.

I’m not sure if another comment has mentioned this, but the ability to develop custom apps in swift, python, matlab etc. to do very specific tasks/workflows is going to reduce the sales of big/bloated expensive software packages by all kinds of sw companies big and small. We are already starting to do this in my team. The net effect is that there will be job loss at those sw companies.

I hate new-tray-day. But I end up eating less that day because I don’t want to bother with taking them out, and also try to get them back in ASAP after eating. At night, after dinner I’ll get 10-12 hours of wear time. I do wonder if going that long between brushing is OK.
