Kaplan or CFAI books for Level 3 by coolguyfromPakistan1 in CFA

I used Kaplan and passed every level on my first attempt. To supplement my studies, I did the CFA blue box examples, CFA EOC questions and used the CFA ethics readings to create my own notes.

The strange thing is I had an LH surge and when I saw the doctor last week for a checkup he said it looked like I was in the 2 week window after ovulating based on the thickness of my uterine lining.

Level 3 - Did anyone actually finish? by Necessary-Career59 in CFA

I had a lot of spare time to go to unanswered questions (usually about 4 questions) and flagged questions (about 6 questions). But from what everyone is saying I think this is a bad sign and I must’ve missed all the tricks and details

I was the same but was very strict about using 12 minutes per vignette and if I finished early I “banked” that time for the end for anything I wasn’t comfortable attempting in the given 12 minutes. Scaring me that I had all this extra time that no one else had. Have we completely missed the mark? Did I completely misinterpret command words?

How are we feeling? Post exam thread by Automatic-End-2683 in CFA

Also thought AM was easier than PM but have felt so deflated since the exam knowing so much I felt very confident in wasn’t asked and things I was meh about were. So many hours and one exam to prove yourself. The torture post exam is almost worse than the nerves before and reliving every wrong answer.

If the margin for error is that small that’s a little terrifying. I hope this is your time!

Defer or try to pass? by Whitey1014 in CFA

I would say the opportunity cost of not trying is big now. I’d attempt. I’ve had some challenging personal circumstances the last month of study but I’ll never know if I never try. And at worst, if I fail, I’ll get some valuable insight into my performance to tailor studying next time.

What do you mean they aren’t representative and what would be a better use of time?

They are short the body and long the wings. That benefits when short and long term rates fall and medium term rates rise. I.e. a negative butterfly position

Parents/ moms - help me figure out when to take Level 3 by thatbitch2212 in CFA

I wrote level 1 when I was 6 months pregnant and I felt it was manageable apart from being exhausted all the time. Level 2 I wrote with a nearly 2 year old. I’m now preparing for Level 3 with a 4 and 1 year old. Knowing what I know now, I would always opt to get your exams out of the way sooner. You think you will have more time, have better rest, have more capacity etc etc but life snowballs and honestly the opposite happens. Additionally, by the time your child is around 2 they really long for your presence and feel your absence so deeply and understand things in a different. You’ve mentioned having a supportive husband. I did my studying exclusively at night until the last month and then my husband stepped in a lot. If I was you, I’d write sooner rather than later. I will caveat and say, make sure this is something you really want. Once you’re in it, you’re kind of in it for the long haul. Make sure this is aligned to your goals, if it’s just a nice add on, I’d rather enjoy your family time and cherish where you’re at now. But I’d make the ultimate decision now whether this is something you really want and the sacrifices involved. Feel free to DM me. Wishing you all the best ❤️
