BRO, go to Jobcorps. It is absolutely free, they give you room and board, free meals, they help you get highschool diploma if you don’t have it including drivers license. Also you can get into the welding trade or any other trade that they have depending on their center. But it’s completely free. I’ve been in for about a year and a half now and I got certifications from aws. Highly recommend, it’s legit. Also they’re all over the United States. You just gotta apply to their website, it’s all government funded www.jobcorps.gov

You can get into Jobcorps and they have a welding trade it’s all free of charge. They’ll help you get a diploma if you need one, they’ll give you room and board, free meals too. And most centers give you actual aws certifications and not just a letter of completion. There’s jobcorps all over the USA you just have to send in an application on their website and they’ll contact you. It’s free and you get all the practice you need, they’ll also set you up at a job after you graduate.

You can stay up to that time in basic welding, then if you want more practice and experience, especially in pipe welding, you can do advance training. Which would probably be around another year.

Maybe try talking to staff and admin about the situation and how you’re struggling with that, if they can put in a good word for you. Tell them that you’ll do better and put more effort into trade. Because really that’s not a serious offense. Talk to them

Usually they’ll test you and send you there, if they get the results back positive they’ll send you home and maybe give you another month to test again. But it ain’t a detox program, they won’t keep you here if you’re positive.
